lets not forget the 2zz-ge was mean to destroy the b18 engines found in intergra gsr's and they accomplished just that. the 3sge beams redtop was the b18c1 direct competitor even though it never made it to the states.... toyota is well capable of producing great 4 cylinder engines, honda isnt the only one. the b18c might be lighter than the 3S-GE redtop but toyota didnt focus on making the engine light, toyota was focused on the Celica GT-4 for Rally

Honda guys dont talk crap if you dont know whats up. first off to all you 7th gen celica owners the 2zz-ge is a shit engine compared to the 3S-GE Beams Redtop producing 197 hp and 152 ft lb torque found in 98-99 celica. Then toyota went to further modify the engine to a 3S-GE Dual VVT-i engine in 1998 which producing 207 hp with 160 ft lb torque found in an lexus rs200, which can also be swapped into a 6th generation celica. Toyota could of made a 6th gen 3S-GE engine with an aluminum block

Toyota made the 2zz-ge very cheaply and doesnt show the full capability of the 2zz-ge. They went down from a 2.0 ltre that produced 207 hp to a 1.8 ltr engine only producing 187 hp, what where they thinking :-(

Toyota went downhill after the year 2000 and everyone knows it. This C-one Celica does not have Superstrut Suspension found in SS-II Celica's in japan which acts as a front double wishbone suspension. If it had superstrut suspension in the front the celica wouldn't understeer.

Octomarvel your an ignorant little fan boy because you drive your moms corolla. Anyway a b18c5 has more potential than a 2zzge. they cracked 200whp on celicas last year haven't seen any with more than 200 for a celica. I've seen a couple or 215whp or 225whp b18s. While K20s are doing over 250whp.

As for motorsports goes.... Honda has more world championships than any japanese manufacturer as a whole. Thats a fact.

I won't argue which has more potential but if you say it is hard to make more than 200 whp from a 2zzge I think you're wrong. I've even seen 1zzge with 300hp with solid turbo and engine upgrade (just browse some youtube and you'll find it) so i reckon 2zzge is even easier to tune. just add blitz supercharger and you get 250bhp...

THe 2zz is 1.8 liter just like the b18 reason for b18 reaching 200+ hp earlier is because the 2zz is not really a favorite among tuners. That celica is AWD which is cool but comeon give C-one a break they tuned it for rally not touge on a rally the c-one destroy the ITR

Its power was uped to 210 most likely whp (which is alot compared to its stock whp), It's suspension is 20k front and 10k rear (which is really stiff)

I wouldn't have made the AWD statement if C-one had not done so Because those Celicas came as FWD stock the only other AWD celica like those I know are from Fensports and a Custom AWD Celica WRX conversion done by a girl on a celica forum.
