I actually had to cut that tooth brushing footage considerably for the video to fit under ten minutes. In typical <i>Wintery</i> fashion I first explained my choice of toothpaste and why.

Haha, I hadn't looked at it that way, so allow me to explain. You get a stamp every time you buy a loaf of bread and once you've collected ten, you get teh eleventh loaf for free. Since I devour bread at high speeds, that really pays off for me.

From what I have seen, in the U.S. stores prefer to use plastic cards for the same end, right?

Wal*Mart has started to expand in Germany as well. I certainly hope they won't drive away our little bakeries. Choosing between 50+ types of bread in the morning is part of my German soul.

I would say that it was not really random as you knew what idea's were possible before you had to deal with them. You would need to be fed idea's for you to act on which you are completely unaware of.

I don't know how it is now, but mine cost around 1000 Euros when I got it.

I had no idea it was so expensive there. Here when you first get your drivers license at 16 it cost $5, then you must renew it at age 17 for another $5, then when you are 18 you must renew it again for $24 after that you only have to renew it every 6 years for $24... =)

The test costs considerably more than 5 dollars.

But it is the compulsory driving lessons that will really cost you.

Then again, you don't have to renew your license here (yet). So perhaps if you live several hundred years, our system is cheaper.

Hm, methinks you fell into Endlessjoe's trap - just by making a video where the reason for making it was not random i.e. you had consciously decided to make a video with a distinct purpose so even if the video contains random "events" the video itself is no longer truly random? OK I've confused myself - is that what was defined as random? Tails, no heads, no wait there was no coin.

You're right. Words aren't carved in stone. Well, okay, they are, but their meaning evolves as much as our culture does. Just have a look at "gay, spam, or emo." YouTube's <i>random</i> just may no longer concur with the classic <i>random</i>. As for a new name for an old thing, I don't know about calling a completely chaotic event over which you have no control "politics."

I had first thought to stop your video at random intervals and then make a video out of the words I picked out, but that was too much work for my lazy ass today. But it would have been randomer (is that even possible?)
