@Mariah1250 I believe it's both. The melody is "Johnny One Note" a 1937 show tune from the 1937 Rodgers and Hart musical Babes in Arms, where it was introduced by Wynn Murrary. Judy Garland sang it in the film version,
this is so hilarious.....i just cant get over it!!! its SO spot on!!!! bahahahah!!! oh liza...especially when she starts talking in the middle about judy garland! bravo.
I saw Christine Pedi do this number before the CD was released (although the earlier version was out) and I remember nearly dying of laughter at both "only I did it better" and "she played Dorothy in A Star is Born." This never gets old. Thanks for reminding me!
Did you notice that the greatest Forbidden Broadway songs are parodies of the greatest classics? I mean, Rodgers and Hart (this one), Lerner and Loewe (Import-Gavotte), Cole Porter (Patti LuPone, I Love Patti, ...), Irving Berlin (the various Ethel Merman parodies) and Sondheim (Into The Words, Teeny Todd) - you can be great like Alessandrini certainly is, but you need good material to begin with.
LMAO! This is hilarious! It's all so true. Liza her vibrato and one note, lmao. This actress is SOO talented and slightly better than Liza *looks around and ducks for cover*.
Hey johnmana, do you need to have your account shut down for the fourth time? Knock it off, dude. Find another place to play your childish games, and leave the satire to adults. Gotta admit though, I do love your spunk!! Bet you are quite a guy! ;) xoxo
Thank You, Terry! Its just that I opened my inbox, and there's this 13 year old boy going off on me. Also, I apologise that this happened in your forum.
WAIT! I love Liza, and that is why I made this slide show. If Liza wasn't a top Diva...well then why bother? I'm sure it's safe to say that Forbidden Broadway's Liza One-Note is more complementary than offensive.
johnmana97: Furthermore, I will not carry this on with you in Iamwatiz' forum. It is dis-respectful to her, and if you find the video so offensive, then look at any of the other 1000's of videos at this site.
For johnmana97: Liza was mis-quoted, a fact that she covered in a New York magazine interview. And since you are only 13 years old, there is much about the world of entertainers, actors, actresses... that you do not know. Forbidden Broadway is an honor. Also, until you have a little more life experience, don't dis-respect those of us that have gone before you. At 13 you know nothing of impersonation, maturity, or any of the other words that you misspelled.
STFU! I am mature, I f I wasn't I wouldn't be UPLOADING JUDY AND LIZA VIDEOS! And plus, I've Never gotten a DETENTION IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! Because I behave in school, and I behave more mature than most kids my age. So you don't know who I really am, and Until you do shut up.
Hey johnmana!! I happen to be a Liza impersaonator, and a friend of hers. She actually was laughing hysterically on the phone as she watched this! SO GROW UP!!!
Liza has said on past interviews he hates impersonators. And plus, why would she laugh at somebody making fin of her. Have you watched the etras of Liza with a z?! I happen to be a huge fan of Liza, and uhh, telling me to grow up. Anybody who would impersonation is in-mature, and and insecure.
Great montage and I've always loved the Forbidden Broadway material. Oh! One thing....the photo that follows the still of Gene Kelly (and is repeated later in color) is NOT Liza Minnelli. I don't remember her name but she's a Liza impersonator. Just thought you should know. Thanks again!!!
It would be great honor to have the talent of the woman that does the voice of Liza. Not to mention a lot of fun too. Liza One-Note is from Forbidden Broadway, and the voice is Christine Pedi. Isn't she great? I'm glad you enjoyed it...*smile*
Loved it!

Great job with the photos, but you chose the wrong Kismet photo. That's the 1940s version, not Minnelli's Howard Keel- Delores Gray version.

Not my fave Forbidden Broadway, (don't yell YET), she gets her voices all mixed up!
This is obviously the woman that also does Judy Garland and Julie Andrews at least. There are MAJOR glimpses of both.
Usually they're really good about keeping them clean.
This one just got a bit sloppy.
She's STILL amazing!

it isn't - it's from Forbidden Broadway

@acctrat no. no it's not. My suggestion would be to read the description of the video. Forbidden Broadway is people impersonating Broadway stars.
