Its not the bios. You have to add your graphics card's device ID to geforce.kext. There are plenty of guides out there on it, including one on my insanelymac account.
Hey ive got one question...(im no computer wizz)...but is it possible to have a cleaned out computer meaning no operating system and be able to install mac and have it run natively on a windows-ment computer?
I've been trying to install OS X Leopard via Kalyway SSE2/SSE3 on my Intel evga 680i SLI board and I'm not sure if I have the right BIOS Settings. Would you mind letting me know what you used or a link to where I can find them? Thanks!
the only things you should have to change are cpu settings. everything should be disabled except execute disable bit. and as far as I know, you'll have to use a PATA dvd drive and HDD to install, because none of the prepatched Tiger install disks have the NForceATA patch built in. The Kalyway Leopard 10.5.1 disk, which I used in my Leopard video, does have the NForceATA patch built in.
yea, he sends his harddrive to someone who doesn't even know... oliver i don't think it works that way.. Atleast not if halofreak2121 is normal in his head :P
It's slow because I'm on a very old 30gb Maxtor HDD for the time being. I believe it's 4200rpm, but it could be even slower, and it sounds like a chainsaw. grr. I can't wait until I get a new HDD.
i have 680i + core 2 qud 6600 fxf 9600gs 4gb ram i can't load leopard Any suggestion or maybe you can do i new video ......thanks

I just got iPC working on my eVGA 680i SLI mobo, and i have to say this board is a real bitch.
v8nman 2 years ago
yes it is. there's a lot of number crunching involved in getting it to work
halofreak2121 2 years ago
I had a usb HDD that i installed iPC on a while back. I managed to get it to boot (somehow) and restored it to an ide hard drive.
I never got it to boot an installation disc, although some people claim they have installed from a SATA dvd-rom to a SATA HDD

This is very easy to get the only problem is the file size - 4.38 GB download!

Can you please take a picture of your bios.
I am having trouble installing Mac OS X and i have the same MoBo.
Also did you use kalyway?

how did you get it working i have the 610i and it takes YEARS to boot

I got it working but my ethernet port on my 680i isnt working. Do you know any good kexts or drivers to get it working?
taberman 2 years ago
I know there's a good one out there, but I've never used it because I don't use the ethernet. I know it's all over insanelymac though.

A) This video is almost a year and a half old.
B) I had perfect sound, but guess what! No sound on the camera. It was an old digital camera that could only take 30 seconds of video at a time.
C) You must be a complete noob. All problems are "common with hackintosh" video card problems are way more common than anything else.
halofreak2121 3 years ago
whoa...how'd u do that?!
shallowgrave117 3 years ago
where did you get your tiger patch at or the pre patched version? thanks
mattcardosi 4 years ago
i won't link any downloads. i used the uphuck prepatched 1.4i version, a simple torrent search will provide you with a download.

and mac being the main operating system when you turn it on?
xxxsnoopy 3 years ago
that's what I have going here. a nice little website called insanelymac will have more than enough info on how to get it going.

I got a new Hard Drive. Wow, I thought it was kinda zippy before! This is the fastest running OS I've ever used, including Ubuntu and Kubuntu.
halofreak2121 4 years ago
cant u send me the old HDD, witht the mac on it just clear ur stuff???

@ oliver:
Even if he did send the drive, os x wouldn't run because it has his drivers installed and is configured for his hardware

Anyone who wants to know how to do this, tune into my page in a couple of days...I will have a how-to video posted.

When do you think you'll get a new HDD?
OSx86a1 4 years ago
Probably in a few weeks.
halofreak2121 4 years ago
You did a pretty good job, but why are load times so slow?
OSx86a1 4 years ago
It's slow because I'm on a very old 30gb Maxtor HDD for the time being. I believe it's 4200rpm, but it could be even slower, and it sounds like a chainsaw. grr. I can't wait until I get a new HDD.
halofreak2121 4 years ago
I'd Recommend a Hitachi HDD when you get a new one, they tend to be a bit faster than others.
