LOL they claim to support the elderly they claim this went viral (fake it till u make it!) Hey old white folks think about this one for one sec! If they infuse hate with their movement is their goal to blind you so you cant see the truth? Make you hate so much you cant see straight? Just a seed! Nothing but a seed! Now which seed is evil? Look it the spirit of what they do how fast they talk! You will see the truth!
US healthcare needs to change, and private health insurance companies need to halt all bonuses.. and law to sue for mal practice need to be tightened.......people need to realize things like this does cost money but when you see results like in europe one can not complain...
Thank you for your service to our country! My son is in boot camp right now. I agree with a lot of what you have said. I have a friend from Poland who says Germany is trying to find ways to privatize because of the costs. Certainly the robinhood system works for some for a while, but it is unsustainable as is anything that is subsidized. Read about Hawaii + their stab at just "kid's" healthcare. People that could pay swamped the system and broke it. Sustainabilty has to be part of it.
one thing ill disagree with as a us soldier living in Germany and an American spouse working for a German company, I can we just get better healthcare in Germany than in the united states as a foreigner in Germany, everyone contributes and retirement many dont worry some get better retirment than working
i am tired on companys giving bonuses to employees that dont deserve it. bonuses should be given with good performance and should be voted on publicly by it customers so poor service and inproper handling results in no bonus.. share holders should make contracts that states this or pull out all sponsor...the people have control we can bleed them dry..
Corporate insurance companies provide less healthcare for your money because each company has to pay for administration, infrastructure, executive bonuses, advertising, shareholder dividends, law suits against other insurance companies, and lobbyists. In addition, corporations are not transparent and not accountable.
On the bright side, corporations maximize profits by cutting wages, denying claims and excluding preexisting conditions.
Single-payer eliminates duplication of administration and has no need to, pay, lobbyists, executive boards, lawyers, or advertising. It is more accountable because everything it does is public record, unlike private corporations that are, well private In other words secret. If you have a problem with your corporate insurer, good luck, cus they dont have to tell you anything.
Healthcare outcomes in US are worse than any other industrialized country and it costs twice as much. Why?
because people are afraid of the of the government in the USA. they dont realize the benefits that it comes with having a "socialist" medical plan... and people use the word socialist like it's a bad word! referring to Nazi's and Communism... go figure. even countries like Cuba have a better system than the USA
As an American living in Canada, I can say I am better served by the Canadian system. The healthcare is the same, but I don't have to justify it to an insurance adjuster, I don't have a deducible, I don't have to fill out paperwork to see a doctor, I don't have to apply to have my costs reimbursed. Access to care under the Canadian system is easy. I choose my doctor, I choose the facility I want.
I can even go to the US and pay if I wanted, but why would I put myself through that?
Can the Canadian Government give you anything it doesn't first take from you? I am glad the Robinhood system is working well for you. It inevitably has to work for some. The CMA says your system is on the verge of collapse.
The deducible is the taxes. I was in Kitchener, Ont. in October 2008. I heard a very different story from most Canadians. I probably covered your deductible after a few trips to Starbucks. VAT-GST-Regional tax etc. Local paper had a story about how they were broke...
who says we what a "Canadian system"? we need our own system. one that works for the US. a single payer system is whats best but unfortunately thats not being proposed!
What exactly r u all fighting against here? health care?
Thats sounds laughable to me, that u dont want a government run Free system. health care should be a right as a US citizen, Not just a privilege 4 people that can afford it. mainly the rich & lucky ones that companies pay the majority of.
do u really want your insurance company making life or death decisions for u when they are trying to turn a profit? they might turn u down for a "pre existing condition" then who's side would u be on?
Sounds lovely what you say. But you must choose Freedom or Utopia and IF you choose Utopia be well read. Because you cannot find an instance in history where the promise of Utopia did not devolve into totalitarianism.
Are you speaking your words or the words of a government education (that you paid for)? How sad to be educated by those with the conflicting power to tax and regulate our lives. ASK yourself have I been educated, schooled, or indoctrinated. Choose FREEDOM!
YOu can still have freedom even with a government run system... look all over Europe! they are way smarter than the usa when it comes to things like this! Health care in particular! and they are more free than us! look at Malta look at Germany look at Austria look anywhere in the EU! freedom and health care mix quite well!
how so? last I checked most of the policies have been from the right! and have been made by the Huge pharmaceutical and insurance companies by way of political contributions and such. so who do you trust a private company that has no transparency and wants to make as much money as possible or a government that is transparent and you can look up to see what went where...
Actually I have been educated in several different countries. Spain Malta and England at Oxford. So I don't think your last paragraph applies to me. And having lived in several different countries I've seen what they have to offer. In the USA I've felt less free than in any other country I have visited / lived. One example the US is the only "free" country that tell it's citizens where they can or cannot travel. Cuba Libya etc. there may be even a few more but those 2 for sure.
having traveled a lot I've seen the different systems of health care even used them... and I must say not having to worry about a bill is a huge relief! also not worrying about whether or not your insurance will cover you is also a great feeling
The only place I have been unhappy is here in the USA when I had to go to the hospital for gallstones after my surgery my insurance company turned down payment! they claimed it was preexisting. After fighting with them for 3 weeks they finally agreed!
So why would you stay in a country that you are un happy in??? Don't try and change us just go live where you believe that it is better that IS one of your freedoms guaranteed by the constitution since healthcare is NOT!! so bon voyage and safe travel to the country that you like best just leave the one I served 21 years in its defense alone!! PLEASE
It would be improving the country nothing else. and if you think america is free think again there are tons of other countries that are more "free" than the usa... almost any country in the EU is more free.
america is the only free country that tells it's citizens where they can and cannot travel to... is that free? and telling women what they can cannot do with thier bodies, is that free? not being able to marry whom ever you like is that free?
how so? I think your hugely misinformed more people die in this country because of the way the system is now than it would if we had a NHC system. all of the top ranked countries in the world have a NHC system. we are 37th on the list. Cuba, Czech Republic and Hong Kong to name a few all has a lower infant mortality rate than the United States.
Walmart ALREADY "dumps" the cost of their employees' health care on taxpayers. Just through indirect channels.
The song's cute, but factually challenged. Reform is not about government control of Americans, but making health care less about corporate profits.
I've been served by Britain's NHS--in emergency and preventative situations. I've never been happier. They reward doctors for taking preventative measures that reduce costs down the road (e.g., smoking cessation programs).
I find it hilarious when people think profits are so horrible and think THEY are the greedy ones. The greedy ones are ppl who say "gimme that, i want that" but dont' want to pay for it. They are providing a service, oooh profit is evil! Why do government employees not work for free then if they think profits are so evil? And preventative does NOT bring costs down, there are numerous studies that say preventative measures bring costs UP - they are used on ppl who dont end up needing it.
I agree. Use high deductible policies and MSA's giving incentives for taking care of ourselves and preventive medicine. At little or no cost to the collective 'we."

Reform is just an Orwellian euphemism for hostile government takeover of an entire industry.
Tort reform is what is truly needed to make health care more affordable.
I hear a lot of people moaning about corporate profits. What about the huge amounts of money the vampire trial lawyers suck out of the system?

Jon,
You guys did a great job on this! Even though I totally disagree with you on the health care issue, I think you wrote a great song. Very funny!

That was just awful and entirely stupid. None of your objections are based in reality.
You should be ashamed of yourselves.
