Dann

  • can u use this also as a normal midi keyboard?

  • The wheels on the left are the funnest thing u can possibly do on any instrument

  • Is the mic incluted?

  • @tomvs2 yep the little white gooseneck mic is include.

  • @smijtwerk thanks!

i think im gonna ask it for my birthday, but another question, do you need devices to play it ? (apart from sound boxes)

  • @tomvs2 good question, i think you might need an amp, but i know that you can use a headphone so you can start using it right away, it also can work on batteries so you can take it with you anywhere an sample stuff. I don't own the microsampler but i own synths and use monitorspeakers -the ones you see in musicstudios- because they have amps in them. so with those you don't need anything else, altough a mixer can be handy (and needed) if you use more devices (cd player, other synths and so on).

  • @tomvs2 this is part 2 of my answer ;) A good advise though, check the microsampler in the store so you are sure its what you're looking for, also check other (korg)stuff like the kaoss KP3 pad, it also allows sampling and is used by deejays. so ask for info and tell the seller what you want to do with the device.

  • @smijtwerk spreek jij nederlands? (gezien aan je gebruikersnaam)

    trouwens dankjewel (thank you)

  • @tomvs2 sorry u'r all about microkorg my bad, disregard the stuff i said about the microsampler. again sorry for any inconvenience.

  • 1:48 heh hehh hehh ... heh hehe .. "ASS"... he hehe heheh

  • Can I also loop sounds with it? In how far is it different compared to a sampler?

  • @DAIO12345 there are three microkorgs- this one, the XL and the microsampler.

so check out the microsampler if you really want to sample. it has a gooseneck mic and you can place youre mp3 player in a slot. so maybe thats more what your looking for?

  • how did you set the drum beat at 4.59?

  • filter sweep took my heart....

  • Is this shit good enough to make dudstep beats/music or whatever ??

  • @Bbyslim87

I find that it is, but then again i dont think it was really made to run drum synth but I suppose you could connect it to your pc as a midi controller.

  • @Bbyslim87 I played around with something like it in guitar center and I was making awesome bass drops.

  • dude, if you dont know to crank up the volume, then you shouldnt even be looking at a synth

  • Volume Control Left And Right? That's Way Too Much Effort.

  • would this be good for rock/electronica music like Enter Shikari as I'm planning to join my mates band and use this?

  • @Nemesis2459

    sure it's very versatile

  • Now I know how the Platypus music was made!!!

  • 128 Slots is a shortcoming??? I usually just strip a preset down to the raw waveform, and build a sound from there... Who need 128!?!?!

  • "Ar-PAY-giattor"?

  • how retarded engineers of this motherfucking synth must have been to only include 128 memory slots?

  • @MaikUniversum if you want more for your money, pay more and get the microkorg's bigger brother.

  • gonna get me this one "for sure"! great review!

  • ill be playin some dubstep

  • im getting it for chrismas cant fuckin wait

  • @stewytonyv same here, im stoked

  • @stewytonyv thats what she said.

  • true love ♥

  • DAMN, can you just say Arpeggio correctly, PLEASE?

  • Nice review :-)

  • Very good work in editing this review. Lively and funny, featuring good examples (I like the bass tweak on the jungle beat). I shall follow your hairy arm thumb up recommandation :-D

  • Microkorg or Microkorg XL? :S

  • @brandweer14

xl - u'll love it. better sound engine, more polyphony, better vocoder, better keyboard. u can use it as a midi keyboard to use it with ableton live/cubase/logic etc

  • @IAmT8X *facepalm*

  • Wow you can sound like Tpain all you need now is some dreads

  • Good Review !

  • The strings sounded beautiful :)

  • I want this so bad. I'm want to start making some electro-rock! :D

  • sounded like a really professional review on a product. I can't tell if this is private review or company.

  • Can this be used with software such as FL Studios and Cubase as a regular MIDI controller?

  • @pablosheehan if you have a midi interface for your computer

  • Does it come with speakers

  • @keemusicman No, but you can use anything from a guitar amp, to headphones.

  • how to you get to use some beats on the microkorg?

  • @ecolangot666 i don't think beats are possible you can use zoom (korg) drummachine or plug the MK in your pc or mac if you have the right sofht&hardware.

  • i used to have one of these and why i got rid of it i have no idea

  • Cool and small. Maybe I buy this machine some day.

  • i thought it was 37 keys?

  • Demonstrations start at 3:55 for those who don't want to see the review

  • @The8BitLegendPSN thanks, that's all i'm here for. what's with all the talking in these reviews? it's a synth, not an art film. shut up and turn some damn knobs already.

  • whats better micro or micro xl ?

  • Your arm is so hairy

  • @360freakazoidguy £2.50 (y)

  • you just helped me make a buying decision! thanks for posting this!

  • THE VOLUME CONTROL KNOW TURNS BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT

  • 3:52 Harry Arm lol

  • AWESOME little synth.

  • how do you make the drums on 4:52 ? :L

  • lets do this! 3:59

  • A55

  • dude, my life is so much better but SERIOUUSLY YOU HAVE TO tell me how u made / got beats on it man , dont leave me DYING HERE! WE ARE MICROKORG BROTHERS! DONT LET ME DIE! REPLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • google synthception.blogspot for anything synth and microkorg specials.

  • This is a great synth, ive had mine a few years now and still create totally new patches with it.

Im making a post on my blog in a few days on how to recreate a spacey lead I made on my MK, Check it out.....

  • i loooooooove my microkorg.... 37* keys(:

  • do you use a drum machine or is that beat coming out of the microkorg ?

please answer cause i wanna buy me one!

  • @geggiii no, the beat is not coming out of the microkorg :( sorry

  • @cazmo222 what do u use for the beat ?

  • @geggiii there's loads of drum machines. my first choice was the KORG EMX-1, but you can get cheaper ones. top notch ones include the Electron Machinedrum and the Dave Smith Instruments Tempest :)

  • @cazmo222 thanks for the answers ;) cant wait til my microkorg arives!

  • does it come with computer editing softwhere?

  • This is one of the most powerful and fun synths ever made. I recommend it for anyone, advanced user or total beginning. Either twist buttons randomly and make cool sounds, or get that exact tone you want through meticulous tweaking. Can do ANYTHING.

  • on the third demo, is that beat coming out of the synth?

  • @V19torrent No, the beat is not coming out of the synth, I loaded it in Reason to demonstrate using the synth with drums

  • I fucking hate arpeggiators

  • Is the microKORG a good choice as the first synth?

  • I have a couple of questions. First say I wanted to make a melody or whatever FL Studio and save that as a MIDI. Is it Possible to import that MIDI file into the microKORG? and also will the sound change at all? (I'm using basic 3 oscillator generators in FL) Also for performing would it pay off more to use separate equipment for a drum machine? and Finally can you still use a given vocoder set up while you are playing other songs?

  • ok, i've been thinking of getting this thing, so i was just wandering: can you do a split sound on it?like, split the keyboard into two sounds.and also, can you combine two sounds into one?

  • you sound like stephen hawkins robo voice when u say arpeggiator and stuff ;))

  • Is it possible to hook this thing up to a macbook pro?

  • I'm so grateful that the volume button turns left and right.

  • @toodietoodieomg And THAT'S not all! If you turn the volume knob all the way to the right, you can achieve.......(drum roll)......MAXIMUM EFFECT! Ta-da! What WILL they think of next?

  • I'm thinking about getting one of these. I don't have any experience playing keyboards so I was wondering would this be good for a beginner?

  • BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!

  • @babykilla1231 it can be battery powered but it does also have a plug

  • I hate this keyboard... It's awful.. I would never use this in anything that I do. I only use the keyboard for MIDI.

  • is it battery powered? please someone, cause this could make or break if i buy it...

  • @babykilla1231 Battery and plug-in I believe. So both.

  • Lol, microkorg write "ASS", at 1:48

  • @Gray2Serge Were you stoned when you noticed that? Cuz I was

  • @Gray2Serge lol you dickhead :) haha

  • @Gray2Serge hahahah made my day

  • nice vid !!!! nice machine !!!!

  • So, is it possible to record your own songs on this bad boy?

  • @24trivium24 You can't record anything into it......I wish u could though

  • ????

  • does anyone know if theres such thing as a korg micro m3

  • Thank you for this very good quality review!

  • your arm is hairy.

  • Is there a way to record what you play right on to the computer? I make the kind of music that this is made for and I want to start recording my songs so I can put them out in the world. Can you help me?

  • at 5:00, are the drums sounds from the microkorg?

  • "I give it my hairy arm thumbs-up!" aaaaahhahahahaha 3:50

  • can you make simple loops and layers with this ?

  • how do you set the tempo of the appegiator ?

  • Comment removed

  • @NerfZoo

You're just as much of a sheep as any guitar player, you followed the "different" route. Which is a route millions of others choose every day, it's not so different when it's done every day, is it?

  • @Bajamug Come on now you don't get f*cking 12 year olds saying I have a synthesizer often do you?

  • @Bajamug Oh yeah, millions of kids buy synthesizers and millions buy guitars, oh wait no out of every million guitars bought by kids there is probably about 2 synthesizers bought by kids. So your point is?

  • @NerfZoo So what, you think people only buy guitars because it is expected? You don't think there are people that chose it because they wanted to just like you chose a microkorg? Trying to be cool by trying to be a non-conformist is even worse.

  • @VonCarnstein Oh yeah all the kids in my street have synthesizers, (notice my sarcasm)

  • @VonCarnstein Are you a knob?

  • @NerfZoo Buying a guitar doesn't make you dumb, just because something is common doesn't mean it has to be bad... Also, most dance musicians today played around with synths back when they were "just" kids, so no you aren't weird at all :)

  • @NerfZoo yeah, wow, you're so special. prick.

  • @timmy1991991 Oh is it that time of the month for you?

  • @NerfZoo You probably read my name, unless you're an idiot. In case you are, it says Timmy. Now I don't know about you but I don't think people with that name have 'that time of the month', now do they? But I can't expect someone like you to understand, can I?

  • @timmy1991991 Dude it's a joke. Get over It. Calling someone a prick is going to lead to spam isn't it?

  • @NerfZoo Yeah that was totally not what I wanted to happen. It's not like I enjoy doing this or something.

  • Does it have a built in sequencer?

  • is it christmas yet?

  • can this be used for psychedelic and progressive rock cuz in the demo it was only pop/techno style you know?

  • @rollipolioli if i got one i would prbly use it 4 that

  • @AceFan88 yeah but i dont think it would have THAT sound you know? like the one rock style

  • @rollipolioli yeah true

  • @rollipolioli

Might be tough because the keys are tiny, so live performance can be tricky

  • I've read so many negative opinions on this keyboard over the years that I had no idea it could make such cool, truly convincing retro sounds. I'm looking for a hardware synth to complement the VSTs I use, for an early 80's synthpop sound. I'm thinking of this as well as the Roland Gaia.

  • Hairy Arm Thumbs up! hahahah funny!

  • Barbie Rave Party... really this thing is tiny...

  • Only downside:

just 4 note polyphony [although not that big of a deal]

  • @fletch248 I may be wrong but i think you have to hold shift and press the #8. Then you turn the first edit knob to off.

  • 3:54 I give it my hairy arm thumbs up too

  • I seen this synthesizer in the music instrument room at Best Buy on the 3rd floor of Mall of America! I want this as my graduation present! If they don't have this synthesizer next time in June, Dad may get me a different synthesizer!

  • Can this be a midi controller too?

  • hahaha i give it my hairy arm thumbs up

  • what are the settings for the sounds at 5:05+ WOW.. SICK

  • @BRANSCOMBEx I started with the factory patch here, it's either A3 or B3. I'm tweaking the resonance and filter knobs to achieve something like an acid bass line... If you guys don't know Josh Wink's song "Higher State of Consciousness" you need to buy that asap!!

  • it sounds like thomas gore from ballon shop is narrating!

  • @soulwinna42 nor is it the kid who posted this video he stole from another site which I made. It's me narrating, but I'm not Thomas Gore

  • I bought a microkorg last year, and I've gotta tell you...I did not like it. The vocoder is only fun when you are really drunk and the sound it produces is not superfat or something. You can make all these sounds with Sylenth1 or Massive. That is the main reason why I sold it last week, because I want to have hardware that produces sounds that can not be made with software. And now I have a xoxbox

  • I have wet dreams about this synthesizer...

  • .com/christianallen904

  • hey check out the music i made with a microkorg- the vids are hilarious, lol..

  • I'm in high school and bought one. my band director is in ass and wont let me play it in orchestra =\

  • @MusicBeSweetYo

slap the bitch and TAKE the 'korg. My wife got one from santa. 4 hours later- fanfare for the common man!

  • ahhh i used that drum and bass break in a song so i tripped balls when it played

  • Menus! AM I RIGHT GUYS!

  • Do you need to have external speakers?

  • can you make loops with this?

  • can you just plug it into a speaker or do you need an amp

  • @petruccigod356 Keyboards work best through a PA (speaker) or a keyboard amp. Keyboard amps and bass amps are very similar. Don't play this through a guitar amp.

  • where's the big red button

  • I dont like the colors of the microkorg lol

when i get one ima customize it

  • @RealRapMusic187 cool man :)

  • this is the most shit review i have ever watched. there is almost no information here. seriously... the volume knob bit..... WTF?

  • I hear alot of people dissing the mic on the vocodor. How much would i have to spend to upgrade to a better mic? or will a 30$ cheap one even be better?

  • @cub670 Yeah you can get cheap behringer and shure dynamic mics which a meant to be pretty good.

  • @cub670 yeah, a cheap dynamic might even be better. the stock mic isn't very good

  • watch?v=SHh4JWmoiaQ

  • does it also have a drum machine?

  • @hummmer11 nope, I was looking for that as well:)

just get some samples online or something

  • so i assume this would be a great idea for a newcomer to the synth world?

  • thanks for this demo

  • A.55 N1C3

  • wow...freakin unreal!!! great demo!!! Thank you

  • filter sweep...i love it

  • I WANT!

  • Hey im kinda new to synths. Im into keyboards, but got into Electronic music and thought of getting a synth. I was hoping to get one of these MicroKorgs. Im not really into the arpegiator or anything like that. Is it hard to just start playing synths and change sounds??? thnx

  • I GET IT! I see how it works. Cool! I'm getting one... with... my next two paychecks haha!
