It's a radio show, back during the 1930's, starring the titular character in a wild west background, The Lone Ranger. I read about it once, but totally skipped where it came from. My ass would be grass from this question.
come on this show was just a waste of fucking time i mean you work so hard to win at the fastest fingur question to get down to the hot seat for what points i mean what the fuck and the prizes are just as gay whoopy fucking kiss my ass do the grand prize is you get to go to new york and watch people play the real thing and win money this show was fucking god aful thanks god toy story ride took over now that a great ride and great family enterment for young kids
damn what a gay ass fucking show this is what a wast of them park money i can't fucking beleve the money that i used to buy my ticket went to the makeing of this pice of shit show am so fucking glad this show is going toy story ride is asome if i want to play who wants to be a millonare i will do the real thing not this pice of monkey shit this show is just wat to fucking gay for me so your playing for points and you get some pretty gay ass prizes this show a fucking joke
It's a shame I only did this attraction once (and skipped WDW in 2005) because it has now disappeared. I usually go every single year to Disney but if it weren't for Hurricane Frances of 2004 I wouldn't have given it a break in 2005 but I also would have gone there that year if I'd known the Millionaire game was going to close in 2006. If I worked for WDW I'd seriously bring Millionaire back in place of that stupid 3-D headphones attraction.
damn i have to fucking say this was the most waste of fucking money ever when they made this i am so glad toy story has takeing over this gay ass piece of shit for all you people in u tube land you have to go ride toy story ride its sooo much fun
If memory serves me right, there was no Fastest-Finger contest, was there? For sure the contestants were chosen from the audience (a la Walk In & Win week).
There was a fastest finger question at the beginning of every show. Contestants thereafter were chosen based on their score when playing along with the hot seat contestant.
If you're referring to the game itself and not the TV version, there was a fastest-finger question at the beginning of the show that all audience members played, (unless there was a rollover contestant from the previous show, which they really only had in the early months of the show) and then there would be no more fastest finger questions for the rest of the show (unless 2 or more audience members tied during the play-along, in which case those audience members had a FF face off question.)
This was at Disney World/Disney Land - they used to have this attraction and anyone could play regardless of age. 1 Million points gave you a cruise vacation.
In the Disney World/Disney Land WWTBAM Play It! attraction, you played for points. Points were important for 2 reasons. Anyone in the audience who picked the correct answer got those points plus a speed bonus for determining who'd be next in the Hot Seat if there was time left. The Hot Seat player got prizes depending on what level they got to:
All levels: A pin with the WWTBAM logo and the point value
I wish they still had this at Disney World...

They should bring it back for a 10th Anniversary event, just like the actual show!

I believe I was there--my mom knew the answer.
Can't remember (the host) Annie's last name, but she was there circa 2005 and 2006.

you can't help but feel bad for the person who would've been next in the hot seat. (why would they do that? to upset the patron?

The show itself taped some episodes here during both the Regis (primetime) and Meredith (daytime) runs.

No, to choose the one who plays it's a fastest finger contest
BVHSFootball79 3 years ago
Everyone in the audience did the fastest finger; the first row seats were there for aesthetic purposes.
