i just use norton tbf. gets the job done at an affordable price. it really does depend on whether u use pirate bay and stuff cause on mac its easyer to get the biggest programs for free whereas on pc its so easy to run into viruses

I had windows 7 on my acer aspire one but when I went to install the intel GMA driver even though windows 7 already made a driver for the GPU I just did it to see how well HL2 would work on lagless orange maps yeah the GMA driver pretty much SLAMMED one of my cores so now its my dads with an empty 20 gig hard drive waiting for win xp

Depends on the hardware configuration of the computer. My netbook did also show the green bar thing but my desktop with the same installation gives me the Windows 7 logo. So I guess it depends on the graphics card or the screen resolution or something.

Because you only get the fancy logo when the screen resolution is above 1024x768. Netbook standard resolution is 1024x600, thus you only get the standard Scroll Bar on Netbooks.

Vista was a whole new OS, so in Windows 7, it boots much faster b/c it's all been recoded, etc. Windows 7 from what I have tested with it, is the new XP in performance, and I am running Vista and 7 on a Pentium 4.

Try it on something on a 2GB ram and a 2.66GHz processor. anything on an Intel Pentium D or higher processor with Graphics card would run this like a beauty, and you can get all of that in a PC for like £400, specially with a little bittorrent and this free download from Microsofts site.

It´s not Windows 7 that makes Office 2007 starts quicker, it´s the SP2 for Office 2007. After I installed Office 2007 SP2 on my Vista machine, every Office 2007 application started much faster.

Don´t try to "hype" Windows 7 when it´s Office 2007 SP2 that do the job.
