Very kooky! Morticia Addams before she even existed, except in the original Charles Addams cartoons - where she didn't have a name. That didn't happen till "The Addams Family" TV show in the '60s.

Thanks for posting this gem! Younger viewers may not realize that YHP had to contend with the same songs for many, many weeks at a time, and their writers were constantly stretching to come up with new and different treatments for songs that were sometimes featured for 8-12 weeks! BTW if anyone knows where one could obtain the complete show from which this video was pulled, please post!
My guess is that he did. I've read in a couple places that Elvis tuned in Gisele and company to see where his recordings placed that week and how the show treated the songs.
very cool

Definitely inspired by Charles Addams' goth cartoons which were in the New Yorker, and predated "The Addams Family" on televison by eight years.

Makes sense, since Gisele and the Your Hit Parade gang did the show live on NBC from New York City.

Har har har! I always knew there had to be some sort of connection between Elvis and the Addams Family, but I just wasn't sure what it was.
