  • Hey guys get this, I was talking to a friend of mine and he has been in the Army. There's this water proof coat and it's called a Basher. Lol

  • Couldn't just rotate the camera to the left no?

  • @gamblemadman or right who knows.

  • well, time to get to the gym

  • HATS!

  • if you imagine those backapcks as normal camping rucksacks and the clothes they are wearign without army patterns you can see this differently. imagine goign to a dangerous country with a camping rucksack and rifle and pair of boots and a helmet. It doesn't sound very nice to me.

  • When I was in the Army (1980's), we used to carry Platoon Weapons on the CFT - 84mm Carl Gustav plus ammo, 66mm, GPMG's etc - we even did the CFT in Respirators and full NBC once and we didn't have bergens in those days - just the old 58 pattern Webbing! Anyone who pushes themselves and serves in any of the three services is a Brother or sister to me for we have all tasted the same blood. I've no time for dissenters who are too chicken to serve their country.

  • Some people might find this easy now... but I promise you in traning you will of been hanging. Stop acting the biggin' people... we've all been licked at one point.

  • My neck hurts.

  • EASY it it fuck. Whoever sas it is EASY then you have not done it!

  • wudnt say its easy, especially in the boots but i run and tab 14 miles, most of the first 7 miles is up hill in under 1hr 30 wif a 50lb bergen so most these lads mustnt be use to carrying weight over long distances,i know the pain that comes from bergen sores, but that pace was slow in my opinion,im sure that was there first try,bet they are like racing snakes now tho when they know how to run comfortably wif their bergens on their backs.

  • @DONNIrish Bergen sores are the result of poor harness, I give no sympathy to someone who can't wear a glorified rucksack.

That being said I'm not in the army yet, don't know how hard the rest of training will be but it can't be more than I think I'm capable of.

Might be joining the paras soon, hating university work. I'm good at it but I never enjoyed academia.

  • @khug1990 yeah woulD AGREE WITH YOU BRITS REALLY TRAIN TOUGH our army is British trained and we are rugged even the reserves not much difference since we are asmall army we train alot recentlythough the americans start to get very fit compared to the old US army notice they are getting real rugged guess it's Iraq and Afghanistan

  • good stuff.

  • wheres everyones rifle!! fukin pongos!

  • @petemusic23 fucking weak australian bastard.

  • 0:07 that was she said

  • This ya your fucking bread and butter, if you struggle on a CFT, you might aswell just leave the Army.

  • want to go do a road run but shins still cramped need to go tomorrow though training level needs to increase

  • what is wrong with you clowns talking about easy the British Military system is just as rough as any other thats worthwhile when you walking on patrol it's different from this as when on patrol you move slower to observe more and your body has more time to adjust to the weight on you while a cft as you hit the ground you going for 116 paces a minute minimum now try keeping up that for 8-9miles with full kit and weapon my company just did one Sunday did 9 mls in 1hr 35 mins

  • @joedon242 agreed but dissagree on the bit about British millitary systems being just as rough... infact British army is proberbly the roughest and hardest to get into (:

  • cft is the easiest fitness test to do in the army, acft is more of a lick out

  • Yeh I hated when I was there to lol but its what u have to do to be in the infantry lol

  • yeh its fuking hard alrite i went in to young and wasnt ready for it but no im older and alot fitter catterick here i come in 20th of march woohoo

  • @juddyp0031 you poor bastard i hated catterick look out for a sgt vaugn 1para dont know if hese still there the guy will smash u until u piss blood n shit comes out ur ears

  • i was watching this video while holding my laptop sideways.....

  • FOOTING!!

  • If you're going to watch this and make a rude comment, at least have the balls to go out and do it yourself. P Coy 2010

  • @toneuncagefire You Brits are on a whole different level of cursing than us.

  • why does he have side-pouches on>?

  • @toneuncagefire and you can tell a para from the way they mouth off about every other unit.

  • @crouchtrac - banter : )

  • what is this? what do you guys do for your cft? im in the us marine corps and we have a cft. im shure its completly diffrent but would like to know what you guys do.

  • @shawsk113 -its a 8 miler with around 45 lbs of kit and weapon in 2hrs, the only thing hard about it is boredom

  • good effort son

  • anyone saying this is easy is... right! cft's are a piece of pish, try doing it with double the weight for 4 hours with 50 degree heat. now your talkin ;)

  • @sambuka1989 yeh but bear in mind that these guys are probably only about 20 weeks out of being civis when they have been in the army for a while then im sure they will find this easy too but it takes some getting used to

  • Brings back memories my shins are hurting now hah !

  • Royal Marines 30 miler, 30 miles 8 hours. 7 hours for officers. all that carrying 40lbs of kit? now that's a challenge

  • @JJwelsh77 and u have been hammered for a week, commando course

  • Penis bergen lol

  • is that all they got? they dont get given alot do they

  • In Canada, its 13km (8 miles) in 2h26 with 24.5Kg (bit more then 50 pounds) all equipment included for the basic soldier. Would not say its exactly easy, but very much doable. My last one I did in 2h05 or so, one guy did it in 1h45 min.

  • I guess youre not a military cameraman?

  • pussy 22kg in 2 hrs. 4/73 do it 25kg in 1.5 hrs

  • i seriously hate cft's *shudders*

  • BUCKSHEE! screamin hats.

  • Ya get use to wearing boots

  • I too have short legs, and suffer from heel blisters from those damn boots, any tips on how to prevent them?

  • better boots

  • who was allowed to take their mob on their CFT? was this TA? or cadets?

Anyway cft is pish easy, i mybe be wrong but when we did it , it was 8 miles 2hrs, but coz we were paras they would make us do it in 1hr 20 somtimes less.

  • Who gets as long as 2hrs???? You're full of shit...

  • full of shit? mmmmm itc catt cfts were 2hrs min full kit. Easy most regs can do it but its just the basic time allowed, if you cant pass this test you will NEVER pass out.

  • When I was there it was supposed to be 1hr30 with 55lbs+rifle in full camouflage/webbing/boots/bergan/smock doing 8miles...are you talking about reserve CIC?

  • i was at helles in 04 para depot, that was the standard time for all regiments, but all regs did in different times depending on their platoon pt and of course type, we were classed as elite so it was done in quick time, that was to be completed b4 end of week 12.

  • It's never been 1 hour 30mins. It's supposed to be completed between 1hour 55mins and 2 hours (officially), but everyone knows that sometime's you'll go faster depending on whos taking you for it lol!

  • Oh well they lied to us then! :P Never gotten 2hrs

  • I think the TA do 6 miles in 1 hour 30mins. Maybe thats where you heard it from? I dunno :s

  • Comment removed

  • Being in the infantry. My mates a PTI aswell so i just get a load of info from him.

I'm not saying you can't do 8 miles in less that 2 hours, i'm just saying that a CFT is supposed to be done between 1 hour 55 mins and 2 hours.

  • TA do 6 miles in 6 hours and fail.

  • id do this in my sleep english pussys

  • @MrFuckthisworld You TAB in your sleep?

    spastic

  • lmfao ;-)

  • And what nationality are you?

  • CFTS are easy

  • to be honest i find easier with a RIFLE(not a fuckin gun) as it can help with momentum

  • why do people hold camera's like that when video taping lol my dad does that.

  • all u guys that are saying its easy obviously arent in the army otherwise you would remember how hard it is going from being a civvy to a soldier.

also this is like a 10 mile trek and is very hard with them new boots on.

ive spoke to guys in the army nd even they say its tough.

im not in the army yet but im training

  • BOOSH im training to did my barb test and my one day selection next its the two day but have lot to do beofre then

  • NA there the online soldiers, the guys that fight about witch army is better, what gun is best, and all that shit.

  • when i was in it was 8 miles don't worry about these guys that play X box and then think they know something about soldiering do your training become a man and laugh at these fools who mock what they fear to make them selves feel better

  • @stonehed21 its easy compared to what royal marines have to go through, at the end of their 30 week training period, they have to run 30 miles with 40lbs of kit on

  • @imboor3d first of all, its not 40lbs of kit, its 32lbs, secondly its not just running its runnging and walking

  • @Armylad2k10 35lbs and i know, but what about the paras? they do like 20 mile with 35lbs but its much faster pace than the royal marines

  • @imboor3d marines are sea hats they have 8 hours to do that event p company you do 20 miles in 4 hours

  • @gtaofbwb yea but paras haven't got 32 weeks of training on their legs, paras have 24 weeks of piss easy circuits and prancing round looking hard and another 2 weeks of learning how to fall out of a plane... they get just the same training as any regular infantry regiment, the only thing that qualifies them as elite is that poxy p-company.

  • @stonehed21 Erm it is easy, its called breaking your boots in, Zinc Oxide tape and decent socks. Tool

  • @stonehed21 this is a buckshee test when i did my reverse ten miler on p company we did it in 1:45 thats 10 miles not 8 lol

  • @stonehed21 PLEASE TALK TO ME, how long is training , what sort of htings do you do ? im 17 and want to join

    advise anybody please

  • @stonehed21 actually it's a three mile walk with a 56lbs backpack (gear) and a gun, to be completed in under one hour

  • @TecnhoViking One hour? That's plenty of time!

  • @TecnhoViking a CFT is 8 mile in 2 hours u muppet

  • @pimptastic666 or 10 miles in 1h40 if your RE :P

  • @sambuka1989

    if they are airborne engineers

  • @TecnhoViking

    lol, gun.

  • @stonehed21 yeah i agree with you there the type of people that think its like call of duty on the ps3 or wot eva, but belive me i no wot its like in the army, and i no wot its like to be beasted

  • @stonehed21

You ll actually find the CFT is easier compared to the tabs you do normally.

The tabs you do normally are ussually at a quicker pace than CFT pace its self

so when it comes to doing the CFT you cope pretty well.

all the best in the army in feller, its a good life. i sure do miss it, im considerin re enlisting,

  • @stonehed21

Yeah, and not to mention Afghani's, i saw one soldier i met who got his entire ear shot off by a sniper, and the afghnai's routed upon the bayonet charge. They can run and hide, but eventually we will find them, and we will kill them all. We killed Saddam, only Bin Laden left to go!

  • Motivation....check

  • Motivational check! HURAAH!!!!

I lose my voice 1 week for that

  • my neck hurts.

  • easy without guns ? wel not realy do yaz no how much them bags way

  • thats guy needs to man the fuck up n put the effort in and no fucking weapon either fuckin easy

  • gay

  • Where's your fucking weapons that is included in the weight.

  • Easy..Try it in Afghanistan fucking 50 degrees

  • @ClearTheWay01

i cant even imagine that man. even if you are doing it naked that is some fuckin heat to be running around in...is there ever a risk of ammo dischargeing due to heat or does it require an actual ignition? feckin hot anyways

  • @ClearTheWay01 roger that lol

  • yeah i agree Hunk, it does depend on the PTI... but it also depends on your state of mind, if you have what it takes to get you through it... then fuck the PTI just carry on with keep up and dont fall back.

  • Cft was easy

  • that guy is a bloody idiot he doesnt know what he is talking about . a cft in 1hr 15mins what aload of shite did he drive it ..

  • lol i wish its 55lbs 4 us in the guards i got it in about 3 weeks

  • its 32lb's i heard but i gues this guy does know wat he's talking about, im going for the first fittness stage of the para's at my carrers office monday cant wait :)

  • I thought CFTs were 15kg?

  • 15kg works out to b 35 lbs... i fort it was dat as wel

  • i dont mid CFT's, i all depends which PTI you get, some of them are right nobs .

  • Yea i agree some PTI's are right nobs about it lol, btu they do it for ur own good i suppose

  • ACFT, thats the beaster

  • The thing to remember is.....

The BFT is not a standard to reach.

It's the lowest limit...beneath which...you can not call yourself a British soldier.

The BFT is the FAIL mark.

  • ye haha BFT stands for BIG FAT TWAT lmfao

  • CFTs are fun and good test of robustness, just make the girls do it in the same times - its not as if their bags are lighter or bullets go towards them slower.

  • He OBVIOUSLY hasn't visited the Land of Nod!!

    Infantry CFTs were beast mate..

  • would be good if camera was right mate =]

  • pt i heard are usally horrible , but this guy seems ok .. on camera at lease ;)

  • that corporal actually sounds nice, i m shocked, my ones used to kick us.

  • You're sick strange and weird lol ;)

It's actually banned now, trying to get lower times for a unit. Max of 5 minutes inside the target time. Still hurts mind you!

  • Call me sick, strange, weird or just plain stupid but I actually used to enjoy doing the CFT's.

In Mrkonjic Grad my OC was a bit of a nutter and we did one every month for 5 months and that meant everyone including the chefs, clerks and spanner monkies. Believe it or not we actually managed to get everyone in on the last run at 1 hr 16 mins. Now that's just bloody madness.

  • 'I enjoy CFT'c'? Your on your there mate!

  • your full of shit fella

  • I found CFT easy 8 miles and then run 100meters Run carrying your mate then press up and sit ups twice a year. the webing would shirnk on when you took it off you felt like you were flolting

BFT one a month that was 1.5 miles in 15 min as a group and 30 sec rest then depending on your age 1.5 under 9min 30 sec

  • why would you háve to do bft once a month? we gotta do it once a year and situps and pressups arnt part of the cft
