Besides the Waffen-SS ( not the 'regular' political SS !!) and the wehrmacht and kriegsmarine and the luftwaffe,there also was a paramilitary transportation troop, called the NSKK , wich my father served in, and also the OT, or organisation Totd,named after the founder Fritz Totd. This was a construction and building organisation in favour of the army. My father went to Russia and the Balkans. They worked almost eclusive for the Luftwaffe. Many European volunteers joined the NSKK.
There were thousands of Russians that deserted the Russian Army to join the Wehrmacht and Waffen SS. Total there were three Divisions of Russians in the Wehrmacht and one Causak Cavalry unit. A French volunteer Waffen SS unit called Charlemagne...then Dutsch..Belgum..African..Chezk...etc,etc,etc.
These are all mentioned in my book 'Skeletons' which is a novel based on fact about 7 Germans on the Russian Front.
the Waffen-SS was not the 3rd Reichs Special Forces... It was Hitler's personal army, which he originally created to bypass the contract of Versaille which forbade the Wehrmacht to grow beyond a certain point. They weren't as elite either... they weren't all "Arian", they weren't even all german... f.e. 5. SS-Divison Wiking was mostly formed of volunteers from Holland, Denmark, Belgium and Skandinavia.
Brandenburg Kommando were the main stay of their Special Forces as in a true Special unit..Some were active in the Soviet Union till the 1950s when they were finally run down...
Denmark is Skandinavia^^, and Waffen-SS is, as u correctly say, Hitler's own army, they were nazi, and their mission were to control and inspect the Wehrmacht forces aswell as the things u listed:)

The SS started to draft soldiers just like the rest of the Wehrmacht. So one could end up in the SS just as easily as the Heer or Kriegsmarine. And many soldiers often switch around branches. KM to Heer to SS. As well ,the majority of the 40% of the SS that were not German, fought mainly because of their hate for Communism

And the Heer and Luftwaffe all flew under the Swastika...it was a National Symbol and had nothing more to do with the SS then the Heer. How man times do I have to say it....read the damn description. YouTube took off the original song for Copyright...and gave me 5 songs to choose from...this was one of them. Well..as anyone can see by this video..we don't merely "dress up" as Germans, we Reenact. both publicly for educational purposes and privately for living history purposes. If you have to ask why, you already have an opinion formed and are probably to immature to understand. We don't reenact Nazi's, we reenact the German fighting man. And just to inform you, there are several reenacting groups in Germany & the EU, and we ourselves have Germans in our unit. Sorry to prove you wrong. Not really...

While I cannot go into the details of your claim due to taking up several comment spots, may I recommend reading "Das Reich" by James Lucas, "Black Edelweiss" by Johann Voss, or even "The SS, Hitler's insterment of terror" by Gordon Williamson.
Anyhow, the cliffnote's version of it is... one of Das Reich's claim to fame was running "fire brigade" on the Ostfront.
Should the front have a gap or the Russians mounted a offensive, the 1,2,or 3.SS would be sent in to halt the offensive. The same was done on the Western front after D-day.
Just another example of how brainwashed people uneducated people are. Its so easy to have everything "cut and dry"...the good vs. the bad. The right vs. the wrong. Well I got news for ya buddy...life isn't so simple. There were 38 divisions of SS...and all saw combat.

Woah, this is getting pretty heated. I think what we all gotta understand is that just because they dress up as SS soldiers and that, it doesnt mean they become Nazis. People sometimes judge me the same way because I have some SS figures on my shelves, but I agree with you - not everybody in the German Army were evil murdering fascists. Most combat soliders never ask why, they just fight. Solidarity to you.
Nobodyshero818, I agree with your statement 100%. WWII was a horrific event but is a part of our worlds history. I am fascinated with the Nazi era German army, however I do not share the belief system that many Nazi's did. However, similar to the US draft, many German soldiers fought only for their survival and for the man in the trenches next to them. As many wars, the soldiers just do what they are told and fight hard to be able to walk away and hopefully go home.
While I do agree with your statement regarding the large ammount of "EVIL German Nazis" during that era, that is it. "UR AN EVEL NAZEE" Thanks but no. I am a very partiotic Canadian who beleives that above all else, history should be remembered. The dead should be honoured, Allied and Axis. The Saharina uniforms were also issued to troops in Greece, Southern Russia, and other southern Hot climates, all which the 2.SS saw combat in. The pictures there were from a Italian campiagin some members of our unit did as the 16.SS, but it is all still our own men..just portraying another unit.

There is not Afrika Korps in the video. They were SS-Sarihana tunics given to troops stationed in Italy. Originally they were Luftwaffe tropical uniforms, but later the SS developed their own version.
1. The K-98 was the standard weapon of WWII and was used till 45. Even the bundeswehr used in parts still the K-98 till around 1958. 2. The camo is spot on, thats it. There was no bundeswehr in 47. The Bundeswehr was founded in 1955 and got his first recruits in 1956. The initial camo used in the early years was a splinter pattern, similar to the one used by the Wehrmacht. It was not used long though.
So I suggest you hit the books again

Also, please elaborate on why my K98k (Karbiner 98 Kurz) is covered in Swastikas and has a factory code of BNZ 42 (Steyer, Austria).

You're an idiot, what's so ridiculous for a German soldier with a British standard rifle. You don't think German's ever procured weapons from the enemy, I've seen plenty of images of American's with mp 40's, and Stg 44's. You think such actions were only done exclusively by the Allies?
I wish Australia's gun laws weren't so restrictive. There is pretty much no WW2 reenacting community in Aust. at all. Pretty disappointing. Seems like a practical approach to display history to the general public whilst also having a good time and learning.
2. Your weapons are K-98's and that was the rifle used by the Czech army during WWII, so clearly you must have been mistaken that the Nazi army used the K-98 when in actuality they were armed with the Endfield.
and finally 3. you and your friends are all too young to even be reenacting WWII battles. the SS only allowed men of the ages 30 to 45 to join the batlles due to the men lost during WWI.

The SS recruited from 17 years old upwards. Wars are fought by the young. The WW1 vets were usually officers or very latewar draftees. The SS was not around in WW1.

According to Britannica, about 16% of the German Wehrmacht took part in questionable actions, and considerably less took part in atrocities.
When will you hypocritical and completely brainwashed WW2 victors start to read your own historic sources?

Besides the Waffen-SS ( not the 'regular' political SS !!) and the wehrmacht and kriegsmarine and the luftwaffe,there also was a paramilitary transportation troop, called the NSKK , wich my father served in, and also the OT, or organisation Totd,named after the founder Fritz Totd. This was a construction and building organisation in favour of the army. My father went to Russia and the Balkans. They worked almost eclusive for the Luftwaffe. Many European volunteers joined the NSKK.

There were thousands of Russians that deserted the Russian Army to join the Wehrmacht and Waffen SS. Total there were three Divisions of Russians in the Wehrmacht and one Causak Cavalry unit. A French volunteer Waffen SS unit called Charlemagne...then Dutsch..Belgum..African..Chezk...etc,etc,etc.
These are all mentioned in my book 'Skeletons' which is a novel based on fact about 7 Germans on the Russian Front.

the Waffen-SS was not the 3rd Reichs Special Forces... It was Hitler's personal army, which he originally created to bypass the contract of Versaille which forbade the Wehrmacht to grow beyond a certain point. They weren't as elite either... they weren't all "Arian", they weren't even all german... f.e. 5. SS-Divison Wiking was mostly formed of volunteers from Holland, Denmark, Belgium and Skandinavia.

@hemork Not exactly hemork. They weren't all "nazi"...actually after the beginning of the war when they dropped the enlistment restrictions...the vast Majority were not Nazi. The SS started to draft soldiers just like the rest of the Wehrmacht. So one could end up in the SS just as easily as the Heer or Kriegsmarine. And many soldiers often switch around branches. KM to Heer to SS. As well ,the majority of the 40% of the SS that were not German, fought mainly because of their hate for Communism

Well..as anyone can see by this video..we don't merely "dress up" as Germans, we Reenact. both publicly for educational purposes and privately for living history purposes. If you have to ask why, you already have an opinion formed and are probably to immature to understand. We don't reenact Nazi's, we reenact the German fighting man. While I cannot go into the details of your claim due to taking up several comment spots, may I recommend reading "Das Reich" by James Lucas, "Black Edelweiss" by Johann Voss, or even "The SS, Hitler's insterment of terror" by Gordon Williamson.
Anyhow, the cliffnote's version of it is... one of Das Reich's claim to fame was running "fire brigade" on the Ostfront.

People sometimes judge me the same way because I have some SS figures on my shelves, but I agree with you - not everybody in the German Army were evil murdering fascists. I am fascinated with the Nazi era German army, however I do not share the belief system that many Nazi's did. However, similar to the US draft, many German soldiers fought only for their survival and for the man in the trenches next to them. As many wars, the soldiers just do what they are told and fight hard to be able to walk away and hopefully go home.

the Saharina uniform was issued in Italy, but what its doing in this video of the 2nd SS, who were never there, is the question.

The Saharina uniforms were also issued to troops in Greece, Southern Russia, and other southern Hot climates, all which the 2.SS saw combat in. The pictures there were from a Italian campiagin some members of our unit did as the 16.SS, but it is all still our own men..just portraying another unit.

There is not Afrika Korps in the video. They were SS-Sarihana tunics given to troops stationed in Italy. Originally they were Luftwaffe tropical uniforms, but later the SS developed their own version.

1. The K-98 was the standard weapon of WWII and was used till 45. Even the bundeswehr used in parts still the K-98 till around 1958. 2. The camo is spot on, thats it. There was no bundeswehr in 47. The Bundeswehr was founded in 1955 and got his first recruits in 1956. The initial camo used in the early years was a splinter pattern, similar to the one used by the Wehrmacht. It was not used long though.
So I suggest you hit the books again

And seeing as you now know that I DO speak German, what is the "mystery" 1947 camo you speak of, seeing as Germany was occupied and in shambles in 47' and had no army to give the camo to. The 98karabiner was the standard issue weapon in the German military during ww2. The ENFIELD was a British weapon. The weapons we use are original.

2. Your weapons are K-98's and that was the rifle used by the Czech army during WWII, so clearly you must have been mistaken that the Nazi army used the K-98 when in actuality they were armed with the Endfield.
and finally 3. you and your friends are all too young to even be reenacting WWII battles. the SS only allowed men of the ages 30 to 45 to join the batlles due to the men lost during WWI.

The SS recruited from 17 years old upwards. Wars are fought by the young. The WW1 vets were usually officers or very latewar draftees. The SS was not around in WW1.

here are my reasons.
1. The camo used by you and your little friends is a post war model that I wont even name because you probably cant even speak German. The camo you are using is a poorly reproduced version of a late 1947 post war camo used by the German military.

Im going to cry your so retarded, All the camo I saw was Oak A, B, Dot 44 and others BUT I DIDN'T SEE ANY FLECK! Also your comment about the enfield, lol british mate, K98k was germanys main stay in the battle rifle sence WWI, G98,K98a,K98b,K98k thanks.
