Hey you fished Weir Wood. I used to go fly fishing for trout there a long time ago, but I think they've ceased stocking trout. Do you go there often, and what do you make of the place now?

@DUanglingsociety Hi, weir wood is a brilliant water, can be hard at times but for a large water it is surprisingly consistent. We mainly catch small roach, skimmer bream and perch. We have not fished it for the trout though. If ou are going ask the guy in the shop for advise on where to fish as he is very helpfull. He has put us on the fish both times we have visited.

@smallweights we could not agree more, its good for people to start with learning the basics and the skills needed to catch skimmers, roach, perch etc. before fishing big carp runs waters which require less skill.
