Heather is a great example of people with Autism related conditions. My son is diagnosed with mild autism. He is brilliant with science, and the human body, but can't spell or write very well. He is slightly awkward in social situations, but has an excellent sense of humor and does great one-on-one. Like Heather, he is an exceptionally good-looking kid who excels in non-team related athletics -- he's an amazing swimmer and runner, but is absolutely lost on a basketball court or playing football
@counterbrilliance. Another boo to your ignorant comment! My son's half brother has Asberger's. He functions just like Heather. There's moments like her, where he stays still in his own world and has problems with eye contact. He's the sweetest kid ever. Heather isn't severely handicapped by it as some people with it are. A good portion of people can function but not so well under pressure as Heather has shown. You rare a fool.
Oh boo to the comment below me. I know several people with Asperger's and they're all as individual as the rest of us. My boyfriend's mom used to call him a cinder block but he was diagnosed young and today he is a great speaker, incredibly intelligent, and works well with others. Sometimes he's wildly outrageous (since he's so dang comfortable with random people!) and makes a fool of himself. My point is there are many faces to Asperger's since we are ALL different.
@Counterbrilliance They can learn how to communicate better as they age. There's ways they can improve their communication; however, communicating remains difficult for their whole lives. It's not black and white!
And I also noticed that in the beginning of the show, she seemed more awkward but obviously as she got used to it and now has more exposure (and experience modeling) she has learned how to communicate better. It's all a matter of getting used to it and learning how to act socially. Asperger's is not a hopeless situation.
I am an Aspie and I was rooting for her to represent us. When she was picked on, it reminded me of those bullies that picked on me because of my awkwardness, so I felt connected to her.
I'm Heather #1 Portuguese Fan and I'm a mild Aspie myself, trying to be a singer. She showed me that all our dreams can come true, Asperger's or no Asperger's.
She's awesome! i have AS too and it's cool to know that someone goes through the same things I do. She is definetly America's next top model to me, if you ask me! :)
Wow it throws me off everytime whenever I hear someone introduce themselves as Leora.....because it's only happened to me twice. Im so used to be being the "only" Leora that I feel like they stole my name lol
Hi Heather, if you ever read this. :) I really liked watching the episodes of antm you were a part of, because I think you have such a great and genuine personality, and it reallt comes through. Best of luck to you, what ever you do in the future! / Jenny

I have Asperger's, and I see or hear nothing about her which disqualifies from having it. In my humble opinion she would make a great spokesperson.

Asperger's my ass...
People with ASD's don't communicate to that level of normalcy.. even the high functioning ones. Heather Kuzmich is probably just a Bipolar bitch!

@TheLastKing4 me too. Well, I'm not a fashion fan, but I am interested in A.S.
and I am. I'd like to see the bloody video but always an error occurred.
And I have not see her speaking, so I am curious. I was searching about relativity famous humans with A.S. and I read her name.
