Doing the clipshift for nearly 8 months now, can do it 100% without any failure. Working on the topshot at the moment (and pop-over). Seems pretty hard, however I have a trained pinky.

It's not a trick, it's an absurde and superdifficult action.

With the 5th finger ofright hand you must put the card down the table, meanwhile the left hand must launch the card, and the the free fingers of the right hand have to grab it.

It's useless to know the movement, you need talent for doing it.

I would strongly disagree... it only took me 2 weeks to get down the top shot (really well), I've been working on the Clipshift since before the release of surfaced (almost 8 months now) and I'm just now getting it down perfectly. I had it performable after a month, it its taken much longer to master.

Well, it could also be because of its practicality... The Clip shift can be done in the hands (or hand), and you end clean, for people that don't find themselves at a table or lapping cards that often, its really not worth the time to practice. Personally, i find the top shot difficult, but certainly not as bad as the Clip shift, that's just my opinion.

Lennart himself knows this isn't perfect. At his lecture in Blackpool back in february he said that he uses this as a demonstartion of expert sleight of hand, an exposee if you will. The audience sees a flash of the card coming from the deck and the card change and the sheer speed of it is what's entertaining. This is not meant to be a conventional colour change.

Hi! If you want to speed up your top shot, lean down the deck when you shot the card, if you hold it like in your video it will start spinning, tilt the deck the other way, the shot will be faster! :)
