Mine are pretty mellow and are always hungry. The female is very calm and I can hold her for hours, while the male is more active and can be moody sometimes, but he's not too bad.
I would like to ask you a question if you don't mind... Besides the fact that madagascar ground boas grow longer than dumeril boas is there any other difference between them? Maybe in their patterns or the shape of their body,or even their attitude. My reason for asking is that I'm planning to buy a dumeril's boa and I don't really trust the people who work at this petstore. I myself have compared some pictures of both and they just look the same.
Both species are supposed to be docile when handled often. See my post below for other differences. Dumeril's are awesome boas, I know for sure that I would get one some time.

Thanks! Some ways to tell are: The dumerils' nose turns slightly upward while the mad ground boas nose slopes more downwards. The dumerils has small granular scales throughout the head and nose while the mad ground boas nose has larger scales from the back of the eye forward. The dumerils have better markings, in my opinion. The dumerils grow to around 4-7 ft while mad ground boas grow over 8 ft, some sources say up to 13 ft but those are of couse very rare. I wish I was rich LOL!

I got my mad ground boa about a week ago and it is a great snake this is my second snake i also have a ball python.

Nice snake...and song too! Most people put hard rock which is kind of annoying. this song is more relaxing and matches the video
