Hey Everybody! I have just released my new album 'Unhinged' which is inspired by great games such as the Resident Evil series. You can stream or download the full album for free on my youtube channel!
I played this game the first time this year, and I have to say it beats all the other games that came out this year. the story, atmosphere, music, was insanely good
There are so many things they did right with the remake of the first Resident Evil; countless things. One of those changes was bringing back the side-story of Lisa Trevor which served to demonize the Umbrella corporation because her tale is a very sad one.
Despite how deformed and violent she has become, the monster she's devolved into, she is still just a saddened little girl on the inside. A tortured soul...
@Antichrist2000 Aye; the Trevor sub-plot was meant to be included to reveal the antics of Umbrella. They took it out because they felt it revealed too much too early.
There are a few areas that indicate the prior existence of this sub-plot; the most obvious is the gravestone that Jill or Chris fall next to after jumping down the hole that Yawn creates.
i like resident evil 4,but in campain their is just something missing its not the zombies arn't missing it is something elsa tho.but its creepy just not scary enough, though i have alot of fun play threw the mercenary mode, but it just doesn't feel the same RE6 better have zombies and chris and jill better be in it and qwit the BSAA for good its like they already bought and sell out the s.t.a.r.s. uniforms the s.t.a.r.s. were know to be a milatary specale forces, rocoon city never made the ideal.
this was the most dificult game i have ever played in my life, and scariest. nothing compared to resident evil 4 and 5. I dont understand whey they stop making games like this they are fantastic.
this music was playing when I walked into her creepy ass room. I was expecting to see dead bodies laying all around and blood everywhere, but it was just a normal room with a journal and everything. Lisa was living a life, she wasn't crazy like Birkin or anyone else, she had her own room and a journal, and everything. When I read the journal I kept expecting that when I was done I was going to hear a moan and the movement of chains, but I didn't. Lisa, you didn't deserve what happened to you.
@PomTree97 None of the people who became Bio's were ever crazy(Okay Alexia) Their minds became deluded and really f***ed up as they bonded with the creature in them. Which lead them to revert back to a more animalistic mentality. Lisa was no exception here.
There was very little left of her by time Umbrella was done. Just like William she was able to remember a few core aspects from her former life such as her mother just as William was able to remember Sherry.
The creepiest, most beautiful, and brilliant stretch of the game (involving Lisa) It shows how she is a monster because of her family. But still shows that shes human, in her lair she has things from her childhood. I loved seeing her ugly ass jump off the cliff though. buhh
@nuuuukii Lol she was able to get herself water, build a fire and make that makeshift shack in the woods behind the mansion a home and even that underground lair of hers right? Her intelligence was degraded to that of an animal at best but she in a sense I think, began to regenerate slowly in her brain and mind since the G-Virus was found within her and she was the unintended prototype Nemesis so yes. I can only assume with that educated guess but yeah. Capcom should remake RE2, 3 and even CV-X.
Resident evil (remake), Resident Evil 2, 3, and Code: Veronica, Silent Hill 1-4. Damn. They don't make games that scare like this anymore. Even though I do love Dead Space.
Resident evil was only scary until the disturbing but strangely relieving plot twist of this mansion being a biological lab. From there, the fear factor was mainly the intrigue, grandiosity and depravity of Albert Wesker and Umbrella employees.
I never understood how games like Doom 3 were considered very scary and shocking by the time theyve been released; imho those games could only score with cliche-shockers and darkness. Ever since REmake was released, I can only smile at those claim-to-be-scary-games. One tune of this game and my head starts turning.
@Avidon218 thanks took me awhile but they say that it can be done on any mode and it can preferably with Jill though she has more space to hold items ands such
@Plummlets it is possible you have to also learn to watch shadows and mirrors though invisible thier reflection is visible also thier foot pirints and dust that floats gives them away
@EchoBoomer1987 After the experiments no body knew what happened to her, but some say she has come back from the dead to avenge those who wronged her, with a desire for blood
@Deader87 you're pretty close but the story behind Lisa is after she was given the T-Virus Type B, she began to somewhat deform and her mother, Jessica, was given Type A which killed her. Lisa finds her mother dead and she says mommy has the same face but is different and she says she wants to "take mommy with her" so she cuts off her mothers face and puts it on her, but she doesn't feel satisfied so she kills more women and takes their faces and sowes them into one giant mask that she wears
Did anyone else pause the game thinking a plan , when they heard the door slam at the cabin and hear footsteps, and see that shadow through the indoor window and say " fuck! its in the house!"
@Veggis92 Yeah...Lisa Trevor was the first success they had at the Arklay Research Facility. But hers is a sad story though. With a more sorrowful end.
Yea Try running from lisa on Invisible enemy mode...thats some scary shit because you cant see a damn thing shes a sad creature...lost her parents and they doped her up with viruses no wonder shes immortal
Well I read that she was immortal because she was giving a gift that she heals no matter what you wound her with. Like say if your leg is badly wounded and they have to cut it off because they cant put it back. She would just heal. And they used that to their advantage.
Lol, wow...this takes me back to a couple of months ago when I was playing this. I remember when I was fighting versus Lisa as Chris...I decided to defeat her by pushing the four stones to open the coffin. Just as I was about to push the last one, she knocks over Wesker and he falls to his "death". I had to stop for a moment, look at my roommates and ask them, "Did...Lisa push Wesker off the edge?" They nodded then we all laughed because it looked hilarious.
my jaw dropped when I entered this bitch's lair. The art design for her room just left me speechless, I actually had to run around it for a bit just to check it out! lol
yeah, dead space is definitely worth it. it's a creepy game, though i find it less scary than resident evil remake, it's nonetheless a very good horror game. worth buying!
1: in dead space you can buy ammo and health and in resident evil you have to save up those items to be poor on them.
2: dead space just hasnt got the creepy atmosphere of resident evil and the scary music of resident evil is always there and in dead space the music just comes up when there are monsters.
3: i dont know why but in dead space i always kinda felt when a monster would come :P , in resident evil i always got shocked by some monsters somewhere
@Gemberaapje In deadspace its ONLY creepy creepy :P annd it tricks u as well into thinking there are monsters even when there aren't, of course I totally believe that deadspace cant compete with the first three re games, but I think it beats the 4th and 5th because those weren't even remotely scary :P
@KILLERCORE27 Very right said. Although I didn't found Dead Space to be very creepy, i think it was a good horror game and definitely much better than Resident Evil 4 and 5. They were good games but just didn't have the horror that this game, for example, had.
@Gemberaapje well its a survival horror there arent any merchants for a reason the idea is to force you to try to make due with what you have and give you that oh god what am I gonna do feeling and it works
@brandyschaoticslave Yeah, the release of RE4 was the beginning of the end for the survival horror aspect of the RE series and RE5 solidified it. Buying weapons from Merchants, enemies dissolving and turning into items I'm afraid to say is NOT survival horror, I don't know what they were thinking. I know that the over the shoulder camera idea was a great innovation but everything else was soooo not Resident evil.
@LordMalice6d9 they needed to change the camera. it opens up gameplay so much, it's worth the tradeoff of cinematic angles
.
You can't let someone buy themselves out of a situation. That contradicts the concept of survival
.
RE 4 was good at times. The village was scary because it was so simple and remote. A rope bridge isolated you from society... Then you got into giant castle military bases...
.
new games don't backtrack, which can be good if done correctly
@Gemberaapje walking down the hallways on left side lower floor coming from the north end lalalalalala SMASH!!!...and two cerberus' jump through the windows to rip your throat out
@Gemberaapje you forgot a very simple fact: resident evil is a long time classic, unlike dead space wish came out just a few years ago, and nothing surpasses a classic XD
@dessan18 Well, not to forget, Dead Space was more shooter-oriënted than RE was. That's why you could buy ammo and health, because there were so much monsters and you almost HAD to kill every one of them. And that's the reason why I think I always knew when monsters would come: because there were so many of them! Also, in Dead Space, the music would come up when you encountered monsters and in RE the same eery music would always be there, no matter if there was something in the room or not.
4: dead space was in space, with a pretty much unknown person, you really didnt know him. Resident Evil was in your standard american town and you actually get to know your character :)
5:Zombies barge out of random doors and windows all the damn time!!!! and three zombies are insanely hard to kill even on easy! lol
@joker9494949494 In Dead Space you kinda have some standard story of a spaceship being massacred and some aliens are on board and you go in there alone. But Resident is one, massive, perfectly thought-through story.
For this game, the music and the cameraposition did it for me. I haven't encountered any other horrorgame with such good music as in this game, and most of the other horrorgames(like RE4 and 5 now) have over-the-shoulder cameras, which just aren't scary cause you can see everything!
@joker9494949494 Lol yeah, I started playing it when I was about 14 years old, and I still remember the first zombie scene, where the zombie was eating Kennedy and turned his head around... It fucking freaked me out! And if that wasn't enough, that freaky music kept going on in my head. I must've had some permanent braindamage back then, lol!
@Gemberaapje It's RE4 Dead Space is being compared to. Against this, Dead Space is a walk through sunshine park with the carebears. But it COULD possibly stand up to RE4.
The fact that everything is well-placed in RE makes it largely more suspenseful, which adds a great deal to the scare factor. When you hear a zombie groan somewhere, you know what to expect and the fact you have to approach it adds to the dread; reminds me of how System Shock 2 was set up.
I agree with you. They really need to make an RE movie just like the game. They also should use the music from the game. However, how can you fit 18 to 20hours of gameplay, with hardly no diaglogue into a two hour movie? It would require a really good director and some awesome directing techniques . I am remain hopeful.
I said two hours because, the usual movie is about two hours. However, if it can be longer better. I would like to see all the puzzles and exploring you in the video game. However, as I said, it will require some good directing.
I see myself playing the REmake right now. The soft light, the water sound, Jill running in Lisa's Lair, holding the grenade launcher, and the feeling of Lisa jumping up. The music just adds to the mystery and enigma of Lisa Trevor's tortured past. It can't get any better than this. I love the RE the Remake.
Lisa freaks the shit out of me. Not rly cause of what she looks like but her past and that place where she lives really messes u up :( the thing about this game is its connections with the characters not just the main ones but even certain monsters, its really phsycological. This game will remain your masterpiece Capcom.
Resi 4 came close but i agree. It just worked, loved it. For those who just wanted to walk around a mansion full of zombies they got that but if they wanted a complex story behind it they got that. I like games that can appeal to casual and more in depth gamers. Resi owns :P
I hated that part (then in the cabin where you fight that lady who beats you with her shackles O.o, just weird, plus, this game had more of everything than all of them i think.
also, you cant really kill her (yet). if you want it to be creepy, dont look it up (i'm sure you got the death masks then?) this is the one game i've never beaten, no matter how many times i've tried it.
Yeah this is the best of all the Resident Evil-games not one can beat it at all, because I think it's the creepiest. While the others are just more boring & predictable. Great comment Bro
I am gonna try continuing to play it soon again. But I haven't played it lately, because it's very hard. But I hope I can get to this part one where this music plays
We'll I tried to select the difficulty that I assumed be the easiest & yet it still was very hard, you never ever seem to know when you are going to run out of ammo for the right gun, needed for the right situation. What would you know Cooljules to be the easiest-difficulty

I always wished if the Capcom make a RE movie based on the RE1 game with same characters and not screw it up.
but I think there is no HOPE. they will never do it and if they, they will screw up in some way.
the movies of RE are just disgrace RE1 story and the game itself.

4: dead space was in space, with a pretty much unknown person, you really didnt know him. Resident Evil was in your standard american town and you actually get to know your character :)
5:Zombies barge out of random doors and windows all the damn time!!!! and three zombies are insanely hard to kill even on easy! lol
RE wins :D

@joker9494949494 In Dead Space you kinda have some standard story of a spaceship being massacred and some aliens are on board and you go in there alone. But Resident is one, massive, perfectly thought-through story.
For this game, the music and the cameraposition did it for me. I haven't encountered any other horrorgame with such good music as in this game, and most of the other horrorgames(like RE4 and 5 now) have over-the-shoulder cameras, which just aren't scary cause you can see everything!

@Gemberaapje exactly :D this game i couldnt ever p[lay till i was 15 lmfao but ive beat it serveral times now and love it :D
joker9494949494 1 year ago
@joker9494949494 Lol yeah, I started playing it when I was about 14 years old, and I still remember the first zombie scene, where the zombie was eating Kennedy and turned his head around... It fucking freaked me out! And if that wasn't enough, that freaky music kept going on in my head. I must've had some permanent braindamage back then, lol!

@Gemberaapje It's RE4 Dead Space is being compared to. Against this, Dead Space is a walk through sunshine park with the carebears. But it COULD possibly stand up to RE4.
faker11111 1 year ago
@Gemberaapje Still Deap Space > RE 4 and 5 in scary terms.
Nicholas121093 1 year ago
@Gemberaapje, I think Dead Space is a great modern survival/horror game. It's better than DooM 3 or L4D.
Plummlets 1 year ago
@Gemberaapje I know as one person said, Dead Space is just Doom 3 all over again. Except this time in 3rd-Person

Do you guys find this game or Dead Space to be creepier? Personally I think this game, just more quiet & I just love how everything takes it's time
Deader87 2 years ago
The fact that everything is well-placed in RE makes it largely more suspenseful, which adds a great deal to the scare factor. When you hear a zombie groan somewhere, you know what to expect and the fact you have to approach it adds to the dread; reminds me of how System Shock 2 was set up.

They need to make a RE movie based on this game, and not screw it up

I agree with you. They really need to make an RE movie just like the game. They also should use the music from the game. However, how can you fit 18 to 20hours of gameplay, with hardly no diaglogue into a two hour movie? It would require a really good director and some awesome directing techniques . I am remain hopeful.
Novistadores 2 years ago 4
Huh? Why just two hours? I think three and a half hours would be more realistic!
Also they don´t have to put every single puzzle into
the movie.
Supercyzer 2 years ago
I said two hours because, the usual movie is about two hours. However, if it can be longer better. I would like to see all the puzzles and exploring you in the video game. However, as I said, it will require some good directing.
Novistadores 2 years ago
I totally agree!
And don´t forget Resident Evil Zero! :)
Supercyzer 2 years ago
This has been flagged as spam show
they should also make resident evil sub-zero!through out the game you are hunted by sub-zero from mortal kombat, just like the nemesis in 3!
ningeaBLADEclanuBECA 2 years ago
:O . . . . . .? Uhmm.... pardon?!
Supercyzer 2 years ago
@DeltaLead65 That would be the scariest horror-movie ever!!!
Deader87 1 year ago
@DeltaLead65 Yeah man I always wished if the Capcom make a RE movie based on the RE1 game with same characters and not screw it up.
but I think there is no HOPE. they will never do it and if they, they will screw up in some way.
the movies of RE are just disgrace RE1 story and the game itself.
ALmerzaAsad 1 year ago
@DeltaLead65 My thoughts exactly. Someone at my school said that the movies were better than the games. I'm never speaking to that person again.
NiggaPlease2311 1 year ago
@DeltaLead65, YES. And no more stupid characters...
...who somehow gain telekinetic abilities.
Plummlets 1 year ago
@DeltaLead65 yeah they should do a re reboot

@DeltaLead65 with the quality of re5 CGI and the good job capcom did of degeneration they need to.

Novistadores 2 years ago 7
Play it with Chris. its more of a challenge, plus you dont get to see Barry!!!

Lisa freaks the shit out of me. Not rly cause of what she looks like but her past and that place where she lives really messes u up :( the thing about this game is its connections with the characters not just the main ones but even certain monsters, its really phsycological. This game will remain your masterpiece Capcom.

Resident Evil 1, always has & always will be the best of all the RE games
Deader87 3 years ago 3
Resi 4 came close but i agree. It just worked, loved it. For those who just wanted to walk around a mansion full of zombies they got that but if they wanted a complex story behind it they got that. I like games that can appeal to casual and more in depth gamers. Resi owns :P

re1 on gamecube was pretty freakin weird, (remember the knight with a pointy sheild??)
hi5534 2 years ago
Oh yeah you mean the thing that that if you don't replace it with the fake-key? That one is suspenseful
Deader87 2 years ago
I hated that part (then in the cabin where you fight that lady who beats you with her shackles O.o, just weird, plus, this game had more of everything than all of them i think.
hi5534 2 years ago
I haven't quite reached that part yet myself. But I am it will be creepy, what ever it is
Deader87 2 years ago
also, you cant really kill her (yet). if you want it to be creepy, dont look it up (i'm sure you got the death masks then?) this is the one game i've never beaten, no matter how many times i've tried it.
hi5534 2 years ago
Yeah this is the best of all the Resident Evil-games not one can beat it at all, because I think it's the creepiest. While the others are just more boring & predictable. Great comment Bro

I am gonna try continuing to play it soon again. But I haven't played it lately, because it's very hard. But I hope I can get to this part one where this music plays
Deader87 3 years ago
have you tried playing the remake on the various entertaining scenario's? that makes the game even more incredibly difficult
cooljules19 3 years ago
We'll I tried to select the difficulty that I assumed be the easiest & yet it still was very hard, you never ever seem to know when you are going to run out of ammo for the right gun, needed for the right situation. What would you know Cooljules to be the easiest-difficulty
Deader87 3 years ago
hiking=easy, mountain climbing=normal. after you beat the game. load your 00/clear game and you can select either easy, normal,or hard
