There was a woman talking to his mom or grandmother. That woman was told that he was still alive and she knew it. I cant remember if that was in it or not.
This tv show was intresting. His mom or his grandmother was in the hospital. She was dieing... but not in the "VR" simulator. She could talk to him? But she was in REALITY not in the "simulation". You dont want to know. She died and he saw his grandmother or mom pass away. She just wanted to see him one last time about something. She knew he was still alive or something. The military covered it up.
@ross817 Eh... you better off no buying it. It was an okay tv show, okay it was good. There was some episodes that got to me big time. It was just the timing in my life is all haha. Dark Angel come out around sametime? Or there was another tv show I noticed that was cool but I dont know the name.
@ross817 Not to ruin it for you. The main character is in military. He gets hooked up to a super computer system without knowing about it. He walks into a barn and sits in a chair and then... he was instantly put into the "VR" world without even knowing about it. Hard to explain. Like I said, it was an okay movie.
Episode that got to me was the re-run one of WW2. Glitch in the training program and someone was stuck in that little "paradox".
I think that the only reason why fox cancelled all chris carter's show.. (not the x files of course) it's because when you see a CC's series..you really sit down an think! not just sit there and watch an hour of nonesence scenes...
The actor who played the lead character Scott Bairstow is now a registered sex offender, He was charged with 2nd degree child rape for allegedly sexually assaulting 12-year-old girl, He plead guilty to a lesser charge and did time in Jail.
Had this show gone on for four seasons, You would have had a huge scandal in 2003 and the producers would have needed to either recast Lt Hobbes or write him out of the show, Since Scott was not a well known actor the incident did not make the headlines.
As hot as Chris Carter was at the time, I thought that this show, with its narrative complexities, would be much bigger than it turned out to be.
It's two major antecedents, "The Heart of Darkness," by Conrad, and "Simulacron-3," by Galouye, were just to esoteric for the viewing public, I guess.
i started to watch this show after watching every TV show from Chris Carter, and this one is cool too ! It freakin sucks that it lasted only for 9 episodes
@waluum Hahaha are you saying Jericho was a thinking-mans show? Please, the first half of the first season was great, then it went downhill with cliche`s and cheeze.A lot of cheese!....Really good shows were/are Oz,The Shield,Breaking Bad... (in my oppinion)
episodes are all over, google it. Pissed when they cancelled this show, this series had the most original idea when it first aired. I got hooked first episode, then its cancelled cuz of FOX. Fox needs some ass kicking, this is getting to be a pattern of the good ones going bye bye. Only other show I can think of with such a new idea was The Lost Room. I hoped they would make it into a series but it never happened. A remake with different people wouldn't seem right, they had a perfect cast
i have just finished watching the dvd box set, its disapointing they couldnt finish the story. i could see the potential in the show. i really dont get how fox has any shows on tv, how can they cancel a show after 3 episodes.
then again ive heard they have canceled loads of shows after one episode. how dumb is that. although they have some good shows i still think FOX SUCKS
I just watched this show on DVD, and while it was a cool concept, it suffered a lot in the casting and execution and I completely understand why it was cancelled. I do partially blame Fox for not having enough faith in it to begin with, but DB Sweeney's character was so one-dimensional as to be worthless, Terry O'Quinn was not in his best form, and Scott Bairstow looks too much like a kid to be a leading man in an action show.
Except for The Lone Gunmen series, yes. Terry and Sarah-Jane Redmond (Lucy Butler in Millennium and Inga Fossa in Harsh Realm) to my knowledge held the title for actors used most in different 1013 productions.
Good tv show. :D I dont know if I would buy it.

@GRDNZ : That's because the world likes ease and it's easier to be entertained when it doesn't require a lot of thinking. Same happened with Jericho.

The intro pretty much sums it up. I can't believe this show had such horrible ratings, Chris Carter should bring this show back.

Same here. This show should have been made 40 episodes at least.
But life isn't fair. :)

I agree with the poster below - Bairstow is no leading man and the rest of the cast weren't strong enough for this to be a hit.

@Picogeta:
Cancelled after only nine episodes were produced. Three episodes originally aired on Fox, the remaining six premiered on Fox's channel FX.
