Not sure about that intro, but most folks likely couldn't do better. Loved the Scotty part though. He was a Canadian who played a Scot, I'm a Scot who was brought to Canada in my teens.

he did die in the episode with Nomad. Nomad killed him, but Kirk (posing as Nomad's creator), told Nomad that he (kirk) would be very unhappy if Scotty was not brought back to life

Your scotty video is good, but cut the corny intro. He is no actor and he looks stupid. Lousy effects and corny dialog. Other than that it is a good video.
