If I ever decided to protest anything as my constitutional right and a police officer sprayed mace and used force or intimidation I would probably be tempted to "resist" as well. My rights are not for police officers to fuck with or decide weather to let have them or not. Rights are not privileges and people fought for us to have them and not for them to be taken away especially by our own government. Its my responsibility to defend my/your rights.

Well if you ever decide to protest then maybe you should first decide to follow the laws. Yes, it's your constitutional rights to protest, but only if you were approved by the city hall of the area you were protesting in. These people weren't allowed to come near the Convention building, but they were marching there that's why police blocked them and arrested them.

Being politically active in your own community is the best way to bring about change. You are able to make the most of your voice at a local level. It's truly trickle-up politics. If enough people are willing to get up off their ass and stop playing video games and take part in their local government, the powers that be at that level will notice and voice those opinions to those that are above them.
