  • mi hijo cantará esta cancion estan navidad en el colegio

  • i have to sing this for my Christmas concert

  • some people say Auustraaaliaaaa has no culture i saaaay to those pommy bastrds i say faaack off.

  • thank you yahoo news for sending me here.

  • great song!! xD

  • Santa gave my daughter the Six White Boomers book in her santa sack... had to find the song so she could hear it... both 5 and 3 year olds are loving it!

  • lol i heard this song on the radio and i loved it

  • cool!

  • My Christmas isn't complete if I don't hear this song at least once. Thanks for the memories!

  • In 1978 my dad, Ray Waite, whom at the time was a top rating DJ on the Newcastle (Australia) AM radio station 2KO (before cars even had FM radios), played 'Six White Boomers" for me on air preceeded by a personal dedication. Made my day. Good memories. Americans always get a kick out of it when I play it.

  • @jmgnish - Am hating you for having such a fantastastic and personal memory of this song.

  • ASS DÅRLIG

  • For the uneducated: 1) Listen to the words, 2) OLD MEN (hair turned white from aging) 3) Learn to spell.

For the normal people that graduated high school, I agree this is a great song. I heard it for the first time on a local college radio station.

  • excellent song makes me feel like a kid again

  • no this is australian

  • How?

  • howcome thaer not black then if its not racists?

y are they whit not evn brown lik real lifes.

  • Gods, don't you get it?!? First of all, Rolf says they're "old man kangaroos". This would mean the colour has bleached out. Second, it's for Christmas. White for snow. And finally, LEARN TO SPELL!!

  • but it doesn't snow in christmas at ustralia whut tha doesnt make sense.

  • @KBKGchinkychinky - That's the point of the song. Reindeer are useless in our summer heat, so Santa changes from Reindeer to Boomers to complete his Aussie summer run. Ad the tale of a lost joey trying to find his Mum, and you get a country full of sentimental, half baked and christmassy Aussies. (And fully baked British backpackers). Boxing day is another matter, that is when the hang-over affected, ugly side of Australia shows it's head. Especially with the boxing day cricket match.

  • @Kalenedral lol they are in fact kangaroos!!! lol

  • @KBKGchinkychinky

They are white kangaroos because it's very difficult for black kangaroos to get a job pulling Santa's sleigh in Australia. Be honest, if you were Santa interviewing two kangaroos for a job and one was white and one was black, which one would you choose?

  • @thesteveus Come on! (got your point but am feeling like having a joke now)Everyone knows that Kangaroos are either the smaller Eastern Grey or the bigger Desert Reds. The old man Roos (boomers) are old Desert Reds who'se coats have gone grey or white with age. Given the choice I'd go the old boomers, they would know their way around!

  • @thesteveus would depend on their CVs and their cradentials and qualifications, if you chose due to colour you can be done for racial discrimination

  • @MrCheeser124 How what?

  • New for me---never heard before!

  • Early on one Christmas Day, a Joey Kanga-roo Was far from home and lost in a great big zoo Mummy, where's my mummy, they've taken her a-way We'll help you find your mummy son, hop on the sleigh Up beside the bag of toys, little Joey hopped But they had'nt gone far when Santa stopped Un-harnessed all the reindeer and Joey wondered why Then he heard a far off booming in the sky [Chorus:] Six white boomers, snow white boomers Racing Santa Claus through the blazing sun
  • whats that one where he is singing about being addicted to drugs

  • Nick O'Teen and Al. K. Hall

  • haha when i was little i used to run around the christmas tree and get all excited whenever we played this song.

  • yea lol

  • What the N. hemi of the planet and all those who follow their traditions don't quite understand, Rolf explains, if we take the time to listen & look.

  • This song requires a quality punk cover. Through a reaction to it, hopefully, we may have this tune included as part of the standard listing for supermarkets/elevators around the world at this time of year.
