I think the word you mean is "masochistic", not "sadistic".

You clearly don't understand anything about battered women. It's not easy to leave someone who beats you even if seems like the logical thing to do.

You also need to understand that in some cases women actually TRY to leave, but their men come look for them. They have to hide from their men, change their names, get a secret number and address. Some still get tracked down again.

Women don't chose to be in violent relationships. Most women would never choose to be with a man they think may hurt them physically or mentally.

I work at a shelter for battered women and they come from all walks of life. They don't chose to be with bad men. The simplest things can set a man off, it's about power and control. Not disobedience and disloyalty.

It could happen to anyone. No one chooses this.

Abuse of women transcends physical violence. The women are psychologically battered, harassed and made to feel that they have no options.
