@sotojoseph123 Yes indeed Uncharted 3 has the same ideas and they even search for the same treasure. Sr Francis Drake's. I mean what seriously. In the beginning the clue is found inside the boat, they crash in the desert, same environments

I think what Mike said about filming limitations is an extremely important point. For me the best example would be the Star Wars prequels compared to the original trilogy, but I think this is a good example too, although there are a couple movies I can think of where that doesn't apply, but in general

@TheCAWstudios I agree. I think it'd be best if directors started setting their own limitations and not leave everything up to a computer screen. Compare the asteroid scene in Empires Strikes Back and Attack of the Clones. Those two scenes are the best example to your point. Empires looks real and AOTC looks artificial and fake.

btw I didin't like Uncharted 3 nearly as much as I did Uncharted 2. In fact I bought U2 after playing U3 and still thought it was superior.

btw nr.2: Why do they call it "The Girl with the Dragon tattoo" when the original title "Män som hatar kvinnor" (direct translation: "Men who hate women") tells so much more about the theme of the book which is violence against women. I ofc allready know the answer and that is because in America its not media sexy.

Kids film? Kinda have to disagree; albeit the animal character "Snowy" and the light humour, which are obviously quirks that one observes in modern children's films a lot, the violence and some of the deeper meanings of the plot stand out for more adult audiences; for example, (spoilers) a guy is shot down by mobsters and there is visible blood. I think the plot is good, but the deeper emotions and backstory count on the fact that you've read the Tintin books, or are familiar with the series.

@snyper1243 A film shouldn't rely on any literature or outside materials in order to get the plot or meaning delivered to an audience. That is just my opinion though. I think pixar films and other cgi animation films do a much better job at catering to both children and adults at the same time.
