VXL with a Lipo is faster. I can get my VXL going 45-50 then give it full throttle and it will catwalk. Can't beat that Velineon. They also fixed the speed control from the original design.
yes the vxl is not as expensive, and has a 3500kv motor. MORE speed = motor+battery+battery charger You need quality batteries with high amp discharge rates, and always up the voltage will increase speed. but start with gearing and Always ! keep an eye on the motor temp, if you cannot touch the motor for 2 seconds then play time is over.
no connectors with it you need to learn to solder, so get a 40 watt stick solder some flux to clean the connections and 60/40 solder and a wet sponge. because mamba max is programmable powerful, and the best customer service in the RC business is capable of 12 cells at 100 A I just wish they would give me free motor's and speed controls and for you stampede lower kv is better you need less rpm and more torque so 4600 or 5700 tops oh & don't forget to replace your Idle gear to Aluminum .
on the mamba. Does it come with the traxxas connecter that goes into the battery. Also do you have the vxl motor and the mamba esc or do you have the mamba motor and the mamba esc. i am thinking about getting it for my stampede and i don't know what to get vxl or mamba?
i don't know im using the generic tenergy the company sucks sometimes but you cannot beat the quality and prices, the customer service is a joke and they advertise stuff even though it is not in stock. Stay tuned when warm weather comes 14.4 volts at 40-80 amps!!!!!!!
AN HOUR!!!! HOLY SHIT. lol i have an E savage with 2 battery's with two motors, and i only get about 15 minutes. i guess its time for brushless motors lol.
yea brushless are amazing, im also running 4500 mah batteries, but year about an hour i typically run it till i get bored then run it the next day on the same charge
for a bigger scale truck i reccomend getting a lower kv rating like 4300 or something lower, because i already burnt up a 7700 motor and once i switched to a 5700 everything became better and i still run the same 5700 motor

kilovolt 7700spins faster with less torque
5700 spins not as fast with more torque i have melted the 7700 so 5700 is much better. then you just gear up for speed
