  • i love this.. i've sparked my own idea because when i learned more about cars and CAI's i thought i could make my xbox more efficient somehow, my idea: i took the grey honeycomb thing off the side where you mounted yours and i currently have a fan blowing into mine, but i want to have a tubing from outside my tv shelf into the fan then another tubing onto the xbox from the fan for like a direct push of fresh air, thoughts?

  • You Are stupid. The OLD Nyko intercoolers pushed air into the Xbox. The NEW Nyko Intercooler pulls the air OUT of the xbox.

  • I dont think this info is correct about hot air going back into the console, after using this my console felt cooler than ever, and more hot air was coming out the back than before. though the odd thing was the exhaust temperature was 10*c lower with it on more air was coming out hot. I will check my my sensors internally and see what I get.

  • thats how it breaths ass

  • wtf the ts poles hot are out u idiot. its not a ex or 360

  • lol your retarded. If you had a brain you would realze the air going through the intercooler is like this:

through small plastic slits of intercooler>outer plastic mesh of xbox>your speaker cloth>inner metal mesh of xbox>into 360

by the time the small amoutn of air you are pulling makes it through the speaker cloth it is going to just have not enough pressure to make it through the inner metal mesh. Basicly, what you did here would MAYBE drop your temp of your cpu by a quarter of a degree.

  • what's wrong with ur cooler? lmao the fans are flipped

  • Your , mentally retarded, the ts sucks air from the fans not blows air in like the ex.

  • @Critikills they both do the same function. ive had both.

  • @cd183 yeah true i had the ts coller it broke then 3 months later rrod i had to trow my 360 away cause ther only $100 xbox 360 at gamestop and i got a year warrenty

  • Dude, where do you get a pin jumper. People have commented on here asking you and you dont reply??? WTF in the description you should atleast put on the stuff we need and where to get it.

  • @JRODTH3FANATIC you can get them from a radio shack or even if you have a spare computer hard drive. they arent that hard to find.

  • if you use an intercooler the way the box says, it backs up the hot air inside of your console which in turn makes it STUPID HOT inside. so, if you flip the fans and mod it the way i did, it will serve as a cold air intake and the stock fans should suck all the hot air out. but, i dont have this mod anymore to mine because i have aftermarket fans inside of it.

  • Nice I'm planning on doing this myself. I recently just moved it back from laying down because it was getting too hot and I don't feel like moving it back. What do you think of flipping one of the fans? or taking one fan out and lengthening the wire so that the fan can sit on top of the grate where the hard drive sits? My xbox currently stands at the moment. How hot would you say your xbox gets compared to using the intercooler normally?

  • Game World Industries contacted a couple different Microsoft customer service representatives to talk about the issue, both reps stated that the Intercooler causes problems for the Xbox 360. Nuff said.

  • it dose not put air in it throws air out

  • that cloth in your xbox is a bas idea. Your not letting your xbox get fresh cool air . lol

  • I connected the pin jumper in every which way possible with no success... Any help?

  • UPDATE: The new intercoolers are missing a pin, check out my video to learn how to make them always on.

  • nice work. thanks.

  • how much does a jumper cost?

  • "Chancable" isn't a word.

  • nevermind. the jumpers things doesn't work anymore. idk what changed but the fans spin up only when the temperature allows. any help would be appreciated

  • imagine that. well mine don't turn on once the power is plugged in but they do stay on once the temperature permits it and stays on afterward. so i guess in a way the jumpers work

  • i tried putting in some jumpers in every possible way it still doesn't stay on regardless of temperature

  • i dont know but on the black intercooler ts i jumped the 1st and 3rd pin dont jump the 2nd and it worked for me tempsmart is off fan is on by default

  • where did u get the pc jumper?

  • i prefer the TS sucking the hot air away from the xbox---because we all Know that the xbox 360 internal fans REALLY suck....so i wont rely on them 4 anything. but i guess ur setup works if the room ur xbox 360 is in stays cool--but we really wont have 2 worry bout all this if microsoft could make a xbox that actually works fine out of the box!!!!!

  • same, anyways the heat sink is positioned 90 degrees from the direction the fan is blowing, there is a casing around the fan that is directed at the big heat sink so that almost 100% of the air the fans are sucking out has to pass through the heat sink. positioning the way he did it may not help at all, because its just filling the xbox with more air and basically pushing it out of all the other holes, so it only creates one path for air to enter the system due to the higher pressure in the box

  • Hmm.. I recently bought a TS and didn't know that it could cause air restriction problems for the xbox. Just wondering, If I do this mod, wouldn't the intercooler simply be pushing the hot air that's around the console back in?

  • i did not remove the temp sensor. i just basically scotch taped it to the back of the middle fan.

and the intercooler does not help the 360 with its original position. it backs up the hot air in your 360, which inturn gives you THE RED RING OF DEATH. this shoves cold air in, and the back fan pulls the hot air out. its an "air conditioned" method. and if your room is at room temperature, it wont be pushing in hot air.

  • that stupuid if u do that when your room is hot it pull in hot air .... the regular one that puch air out it way better becuase it keeps all hot air out and cold in

  • lol thats some stupid logic, the air the rear fans pushed out of the system is replaced by air entering from the vents along the system...which would STILL be the air in the "hot" room (regardless of the intake fan)

  • odd ive done this, the 12v and 5v with a jumper and still doesnt stay powered on did you have to remove the temp sensor?

  • the video messes up but where do you place the jumper? do you have to change something on it to make it run all the time also?

  • you place the jumper on the last two pins to the left.

this will connect a circuit that will turn it on as soon as its plugged in.
