Shah Rukh Khan at his very best in an anti-hero role. I won't please many of you with this comment, but I do think he enjoyed the best part of his career pre-Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, doing very well as a villain or anti-hero in Darr, Baazigar, Anjaam and Ram Jaane. After DDLJ, he played the same role over and over again.

@theyears1988 I agree with you completely. His performances pre - DDLJ were far more superior and original. I think he excells so much more when he's playing a psychotic villain rather than the Romantic Hero. I certainly prefer him in negative roles, his acting is so much more impressive. Look at his performance in a film like Anjaam (his best performance in my opinion) and then compare it to something like Dil To Pagal Hai.....the difference in terms of the level of his performance is huge.
