hehe Shantotto is a favorite of players, because of her personality. She constantly berates players and other characters in FFXI, but is known in Windust as possibly the most powerful mage there. Its funny cuz she's this tiny cute thing with a total bitch attitude and she's badass to boot!

1 story mode of the 10..then finish the 4 chapter of shade impulse (20 scenario to be exact)..then u unlock distant glory..then 5 again in disrtant glory..

Personally, I think her english VA sounds better. Though her squeaky japanese voice was cute, the mature british accent really gives her that snobbish attitude. Besides, her english voice still does those cute little humming noises when she moves and gets hit. :P

Lol I dont mind it so much. I expected more squeeky as well, but the cocky attitude is still there so its okay with me ;D I love how all her abilities still kick butt. She is wicked in the game, she really really is D:! Also loling that she can use retribution with her staff XD I think just what makes me sad is that she's notorious for rhyming her ever word, but I guess they cant keep that up ALL the time... hahaha. ok, i thought most of these dubs were cool, but this is just awful. i mean, this is the 2nd time i eva complained about a dub in my life (the 1st one being runo's voice in bakugan, but i eventually got use to her voice). i dont think i'll eva get use to how bad this voice is.

Shantotto sounds like an old british lady. I didn't see the need for them to put her in the game anyway.

And lolz at so many people getting so defensive over dubs. Dubs in most games or anime have always been bad, japanese voices are how they are meant to sound. Japanese made this game, not Americans. Take Advent Children for instance, incredible failure when they released it dubbed. Learn japanese or l2read subtitles. Simple is as simple comes.

I've said this many times before, but ever considered how the Japanese feel about their own VAs? You think they carry on about how perfect they always are? No, because that's unrealistic.

Go ahead and cry "that's how it's originally suppose to be!" as much as you want, but I hope you realize that Japan has its share of horrible voice acting.

Well here's the problem though

Subs, especially fansubs are not accurate, things get taken out of context, syllables don't match words, etc etc.

Just because it's done in Japanese first, doesn't mean it should automatically stay that way. Hell, Kojima himself said that David Hayter is considered the official voice actor of Solid Snake instead of Akio Otsuka.

Also, Japanese cannot do accents. Take notice that Japanese media, especially manga/anime does not exclusively contain Japanese people
