Please let your light shine once again with your wonderful voice and songs. Missing your sounds! My best to you this Valentines Day. You touch the most human element of the heart.
God bless ya Chris, Ireland saved yer career (don't spoil it by some Thatcher nonsense) what should we do? i walked to Harlesden in spring of 89, looking at a sign "Road To HELL" but you sucked it up. F ya.
Chris Rea is my favorite artist since 20 years ago. This weekend i sat down to pick out Chris's best songs ever. This song starts the compilaition:) Definitely one of his best! Wonderful, like most of his songs are!
@philpotts1 They are: Raincoat And A Rose Runaway Light Of Hope Let’s Dance Josephine Fool (If You Think It’s Over) On The Beach I Can Hear Your Heartbeat Windy Town Road To Hell Tell Me There’s A Heaven Gone Fishing Set Me Free Soft Top, Hard Shoulder The Blue Café Girl In A Sports Car Le Mans There are many others but if i have to make only one CD it's these. Don't miss one of the best Christmas songs ever - Driving Home For Christmas:)
Absolutely fantastic song from a brilliant album. I remember when I had "Deltics" on blue vinyl! My favourite song on the album is "Seabird". It's frightening to think that the album is 31 years old.For Christ's sake (in my head) I'm still a teenager! LOL
Ah this brings back memories. I remember the band had been out for a meal , and we had a few drinks. Back at the studio Chris decided to record. And to be honest i did not no what to play drummers play better when they are sober. See ya Norman Nosebait.
Chris cry for home SO ENORMOUS amazing

Love is for fools and fools have no grace
Damn them while you can
Out here on the fence is such a lonely place
I wish I was foolish now
The greatest of pain is never really knowing
Maybe today I'll find out this way
The way that I'm going
ching0queen 2 years ago
I hope no one sees, they'll laugh I know
He was always like that, yes it always showed
Did I do something wrong to have to pay
In many more ways than one
Rainy day, what do I say
How simple it's all become
ching0queen 2 years ago
Rain, tears of joy, tears of pain
Is this really me
Standing here at the station
The card said I mustn't be late
I've never been late
I've never really had the chance
Years and years and not even wanting a second chance
'look for a raincoat and a rose'

If you don't have it already, buy Deltics. It's a fantastic album that the modern world has forgotten. Pretty much perfect. My favourite CR album.

Yeah, a beautiful song. Trouble is he's made so many, that your particular favourite can miss out when it comes to compilations.
