  • Always felt like Cape Blanco was the one that Ballydoyle got wrong. I've never gotten the impression they rated him highly enough, and it only got worse for Cape Blanco after So You Think arrived at Coolmore this season. He never got the full credit he deserved for this convincing Dante Stakes win over Workforce, or for pummeling the Irish Champion Stakes field in 2010. He'll probably likely never got the recognition he should get for shipping to the US from Ireland 3 times, and winning 3 G1's.

  • @GBeret83 well iv watched the exclusive video on ATR with O'Brien and they were talking about cape blanco either goin for the queen anne takes or the prince of wales stakes .. and there goin for the queen anne which if you look at is obvs the opposite choice to what cape blanco is prefered to run at .. prince of wales is his trip1m 2f theres rewilding and twice over which he stole a march over his rivals in the champion stakes to win by 5L.

  • @GBeret83 and also its worth £227,000 whereas the queen anne is only 141,000 . im on cape blanco to beat the top two! if you look at cape blancos formand watch the re runs well says it all in my opinion why this horse cannot win and aidan O'Brien is a sneeky 1 at times and to be watched!

  • I think all those who said Workforce won a very poor Derby and wasnt very good are hiding under the tables! LOL He sinse won the Arc, and now as a four year old just won the Brigadier Gerard Stakes Group 2 @ Sandown Park . What other horse apart from Mill Reef can rival that? Like I always said from the begining this horse is a true top notch performer. What a Horse he is!

  • If WORKFORCE lines up on Oct 3rd some punters will eat humble pie after the Arc, he had 2 runs then broke the Derby record, he was not himself in the King George at Ascot but i remind people on a daily basis they are not machines, things can go wrong on course and things can go wrong on the gallops, Dont write off WORKFORCE if he lines up in Paris.

  • @SIDESLAM

    congratulations.

thats what i like, someone saying as clear as day

they think a horse will win BEFORE it does and being proven right.

most people on here are non committal and its only afterwards

that they claim they told everyone and how they backed it and made a fortune.

i admit i was one of many who doubted workforce, but i didnt have a bet in the arc. havnt had a bet since goodwood.

    once again. well done

  • How far this colt has come since winning the Tyros Stakes and Futurity Stakes as a 2yr.old in Ireland. Having now won the G2 Dante Stakes, the G1 Irish Derby, a runaway winner in the G1 Irish Champion Stakes, and take Harbinger out of the equation, and Cape Blanco is also a King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner as well. Best 3yr.old in Europe beyond a mile. By far. He proved it on Saturday by single handedly smashing the Juddmonte International form. Running away from the JIS top two.

  • So after Harbinger being a men among boys, and one little girl in the King George. I ask you? Is it that Workforce is overrated? Or is it that Cape Blanco is underrated? Because even though Harbinger made all of them look like average horses at Ascot. This is twice that Cape Blanco has outrun Workforce. This time, there was no bridle issues or no excuses period. IMO.

  • @GBeret83 watch the dante again my friend and look at workforce s action in comparison to cape blanco, outstanding run from workforce on ground like tarmac and his bit was loose, id say Cape Blanco is a good quick ground horse but aint in workforces league.

  • @ABC321I, I don't know if you could still say that Cape Blanco isn't in Workforce's league. Not logically anyway. Because neither of them had any excuses in the King George. Both just ran up against a beast in Harbinger. A horse that clearly loves the Ascot ground. But my point being, even though he finished 11 lengths behind Harbinger, Cape Blanco still finished a bit ahead of Workforce. So both times I've seen them square off, I'd say Cape Blanco is pretty obviously in Workforce's league. JMO.

  • @Katabatic77 is there any other sport in the world with as much crap spoken about it as horse racing?

    unbelievable.

  • @HereWeGoAgain595 Just have a look on the football videos LOL i WILL SAY NO MORE! haha but if you think people talk crap in horse racing then just check out some of the football video's. I mean there are stupid arguments over a poxy penalty would you believe. How the heck can you mis a penalty for goodness sake? I would never ever mis a penalty. It is impossible to mis unless you mean to mis. No goal keeper could save my penalty and have never missed one in my life.

  • @MrNativeDancer, I'm not going to call you names. Like the asshole that posted comments above mine. But he is correct about one thing. Harbinger could not have raced against Cape Blanco and Workforce in the Dante Stakes at York. The Dante is only open to 3yr.old's. Harbinger would've already been a 4yr.old when this race took place.

  • @GBeret83 Don't worry LOL I know the dante is for 3year olds its a Derby trial.

Just say if the Dante was the same race but called the Bill Blogs Stakes for example open to 3-4 year olds. Would Harbi of won? Or say for example the KG was run here at york then? instead of Ascot

  • @ABC321I, I'll say this much about Cape Blanco and Workforce. I think Workforce's win in the Epsom Derby was a ton more impressive than Cape Blanco's win in the Irish Derby. I'd also even say had Cape Blanco been in the Epsom Derby that Workforce would've likely blitzed him too that day. But I don't think it's fare to say Cape Blanco isn't in Workforce's league. When the only gauge you have to go by is the Dante Stakes and the King George. And Cape Blanco has outrun him both times in those races

  • i cant believe theyre not running this horse at epsom.

its an insult to the dante stakes and the derby, like the french equivalent has the same prestiege, yeah right.

this years derby looks like a handicap now in terms of class

its a shame. what the hell has happened to flat racing over the last few years???
