Dc-talk server accepts pso ver1 and pso ver.2 players, meaning it accepts PC players as well.

there are connect guides to servers for:

well, you need a ISP (internet service provider) and a guide to connect with pso ver.1 otherwise you will connect to a server that no longer exists

Regarding ver.2, you can just burn the pal version of the game, some servers give an autoconnect disk of pso ver.2

I used a tv board, the only downside was that i needed to record at 50 hz wich is slower, at 60 hz the video would be black and white.

your computer has a graphic board right, it enables you to connect your monitor to the pc, a tv board has tv inpus so i pluged my dreamcast to it and used a program to display the image, just like a regular tv.

he technically has s-rnks on PSO ver.2 because the red handgun and all the red stuff and his imperial pick and what not is in red text, therefore considered a s-rnk weapon. But this is in dreamcast. But s-rnks are weaker than normal weapons. So i see why people wouldnt have s-rnks for that one reason.

If its red text they are considered s-rnks(they dont have random special attacks because of the production of the newer versions)

S-rnks are acually weaker than normal weapons. Due to that u can put ANY spcial on them. Except maybe a few.

However u can choose weather or not to put a special onto a s-rnk or to put a % on them. Its your choice.

I think you arent getting where im coming from, your weapons are considered s-rnks.

Sranks are prizes at cmode if you have achieved the rank "S"

Red named items on ver.2 means they are new content that pso ver.1 didn't had, sranks and ultimate drops are just examples.

Sranks are stronger then normal weapons, they have a superior ATA and ATP, but no %

Weapons outside cmode prizes are not sranks.

Hunting items can take a LONG time.

The time i waste on a new char i can just use it to make this one better, it may be boring for you, for me it's fun and i do like to get better.

I believe i used this costume (it's one of the extra costumes avaiable) so that i would have a chance of finding a cyan color mag, since i never found it i gave up on this costume and hair and i returned to the old white and blue.

this bug apears in one version of the game, maybe it's in pal, in us version the bug is gone and so is in pso ep1&2 plus.

i play ver.2 and that bug doesn't exist.

lvl 100 requires 2.3 million exp i think, once you get to vhard and ultimate you will see that mark is easy to get.

lvl 200 requires 83 million exp i think.

Offline yes, but some of them were obtained in downloadable quests, so you need online to download them atleast

megid lvl 30 has 100% chance to kill on a enemy with 0 EDK, if the enemy has like 60 EDK then the % of success drops to 40.

If your megid is lvl 26 then i recomend checking wich enemys are weak to that attack, because if the enemy has a really high edk then you won't kill that easily.

you sure you have a force? anyway that means the only stst that isn't maxed is atp, all the others are maxed maybe due to material usage, with this everytime you lvl the game only adds stats to those wich aren't maxed like the ATP.

All the players that are claiming they get hit if they stand still are using the first US release. All the players that don't get hit when they stand still are claiming they are on a PAL release or PSO+

It's a bug that us psogc has, nothing more.

As for difficulty, i would recomend you checking enemy stats for both version, all i can say is that a vulmer in ultimate caves in my version has more dfp then any online enemy in pso gc.

love this game! sigh, after i my playing never got to ultimate online! i only made it to very hard offline before i stopped playing. but last year i got back online, and only got my PAL/e char to lvl 45 before the servers were shutdown.

and ultimate online required lvl 80. My NTSC char is lv 79. I heard some very rare utems can only have been found online, some in the online quests - like special MAGs.

let's begin with luck

LCK is a stat on your char, it's a fisical atribute like ATP, it does not increase the chances of finding rares, it increases the % of critical hits (a critical hit is 1.5x stronger) you calculate using this:

LCK / 5 = % of getting a critical hit.

things you need to know to find rares:

- don't do quests since rares and rare drops are disabled

- using a cheat disk like codebreaker deactivates rare drops and rare items.

In the ruins, the partisan like weapon you used similar to the KIREEK used in one of the first quests, my question do you start seeing this rare weapons in ultimate mode only, or you never see them if you play offline, because i once leved up a HUcast to level 112 and never see a rare weapon, only the usual saber-buster-gladius, handgun-railgun-raygun etc,. this is a special weapon, it is avaiable on pso ver.2 in ultimate ruins, it's an easy drop on all ids exept for redria since that id can't find the weapon.

special weapons start to apear even on normal mode on ver.2, vhard and ultimate is where they become more frequent.

wich version do you play? because there are some stuff that deactivate rare drops depending on the version that you play.

you know, lvl isn't everything, that was the 1st thing i noticed when you told me you had a lvl 200 humar, reaching the top level takes time, and with that time you learn how to beat the game, the harder the situation the better you become.

get online and ask for an imperial pick WITH %, redria can't find them.

find also red sword, red handgun and red dagger with % (check pso world for drop locations) all are powerfull and somehow easy to get.

Go online and ask for a s-rank needle.

it depends on how much ata you have, even with my acuracy there is a chance that i might miss the 1st attack, especially in ruins, so, to avoid missing i just use the normal attack 1st.

As for mines, the red handgun is not perfect for this area, in vhard difficullty i never miss but here i do, so to avoid any problems i just use normal attacks.

yes sometimes hard attacks are great but i once tried it and i was using, normal/normal/hard, and sometimes i would hit ONCE, for me that's bad.

yes, on v1 theres a rain of special weapons and u never know when it s really special. however this have the advantage to allow the 60% on common weapons like db saber or varista. i remember that years ago i had plenty of 60% stuff. not that was needed since v1 it s sooo easy ^^

it depends, lvl will only make the stats go higher, but with no hp materials weapons, mags or whatever then he might be weaker, but if you take for example a charge vulcan on a humar and one on a ramar, if both are using shifta the damage of the humar will be higher.

true, but I definately think RAmar is the more efficient class because when we run through together, sure he does a good amount of damage but hes not hitting all that much. my base ACC is maxed plus my mag helps it even more, I use LK-14 Combats and I use purely charge moves, I usually riddle the enemies with damage, and RARELY miss. ...plus...RAcast+guld milla=ultimate pwnage.

guld mila only does more damage if we see normal and hard attacks, charge vulcans do less damage with normal and hard attacks, but the special pwns.

well, if your ramar does a good damage with charge special then the humar will do even more, 50 % charge vulcans do the trick :D

i remind you that my movie i am playing ver.2, meaning enemy stats are bigger then any other version, including evp,atp and the worst of all, the dfp (ultimate offline arlan has 2000 DFP, wich is 2x more then in GC).

yes, but rangers dont miss. you theoretically do more damage, if you hit. thats the thing, my friend who has the humar takes out his own combats or red mechs and he 'should' do more, however its usually "misssmissmiss, missmissmiss, miss -something -something-" whereas with combats my ramar is usually "350ish 400ish 350ish X3"
