Sequel to "I am Legend??" since when did that have Vampires in?? I would say more like some-sort of sequel to Blade or something, only Blades dead, or something like that lol. Anyway, the movie is abit of a mess it didnt draw me in at all, sorry but I found it quite standard and boring.

This was a great movie until at least the last 10 to 5 minutes I was like "What the hell?". The ending was(SPOILER ALERT!) this whole big mess of not just blood and dead people but Clichés about how the main character and his friends have a cure for the vampire sickness and they travel out of their "Fucked up" town to go to "take on the world" and the help the humans and the infected vamp people with the cure. It screams "Squeal" but at the same time it also screams "Use your imagination".

This movie is a perfect example of the lack of directorial prowess Australian cinema lacks, especially in the action genre. It was boring and riddled with tired cliché "bad guy moments" and completely missed the opportunity the concept provides. It takes the first step and shows us a world ruled by vampires then gets caught up in all the basic shit like "no reflection" and "wooden stakes", which were more metaphorical hang ups of the "vampire concept" from the original films like Dracula. sucky

I personally thought this filmwas such a disappointment. The premise I thought provided the writers with a ton of material to work with. But some of the writing is so clunky, so ill-conceived, I cared very little for the main characters and people were laughing when Defoe spontaneously arrived at the end to save the main guys.

Very good, but not the perfect anti-twilight film I was hoping for. In fact, despite what I like about it, it falls into some Twilight-like traps.There are a few flat characters, a few cliched lines and the narrative seems slapped together in the middle. Damn good acting and gor, a clever premise and a great presentation still makes it a damn good time. FULL PRICE :D

The thing that confussed me, was how the cure worked..so, once the guy drank Ed's blood, he turned human, which other vampire's fed on him, which others fed on them and so on and so on. When you have people eating people in the end, how are the remaining survivers, or the ones that are cured in the end ? Won't they be eaten...

It would take awhile, and a lot of people would die, but eventually they would be cured.

I loved this movie! I even made a song about it check out my channel and look for the track called "Daybreakers" I thought the concept of this movie was real good! but it fell a little bit short. I agree with you guys it didn't give us a sense of feeling that it was a whole vampire world, but more like just a city. I thought the movie wasn't too over the top which made it good. Almost all vampire movies are over the top, the vampires have like super human powers but in this one they dont.

Well it's pretty obvious that the cure will spread very rapidly, because no one will propably know about the difference in the human blood and just consume it, thus turning into human.

BTW I liked the movie, was way better than I expected but not a masterpiece, but entertaining in it's own right. 7/10

I totally agree with you guys, I would have loved to see more of a vampire world. But compared to current popular vampire movies (*ehem* Twilight...) I really really liked it. I was thinking this would be the alternative Twilight but I knew no Twitards could stomach it. I loved the part where the guards kept attacking each other. Call me disturbed, but it was so funny; one band of guards became human to be eaten by more vamps, then /those/ vamps became human and it kept going on and on.
