  • Why does she have band aids on all her fingers?

  • @ChloeAnnamarie She's colour coded her fingers, it's to help the people learning sign language. It's to show the distinct differences of her fingers and helps the audiance understand what hand gestures she is using.

  • can she move slower i dont know a thing and i watched this about a milloin times

  • @Amen1070 I'm right there with ya lol. Too fast even if she is doing it repeatedly

  • sabbath day is on a saturday 7th day of the week not by man's time but by yah's time sun set to sun set, sunday is not the sabbath lol

  • Did you cut all of your fingers, or is there a point to the bandaids?

  • @Juliabeach From the Signing Time Fan FAQs: "Q. Why colored tape on the fingers?

This is not something you would ever see in a real ASL environment. However, for teaching purposes, Rachel uses blue tape on her thumbs and pointers and orange on her other fingers to help clarify finger positions. If you look at the hand shapes for A, N, S, & T and don't know them well, it can be confusing. The colors help show the different position of fingers."

  • @DulceBrandi Thanks for explaining :)

  • y not just sign numbers for the days of the week. Like sunday would be 1 and monday 2 and so on. instead the fingers would go on ur arm so a deaf person could tell the difference from regular number to day of the week numbers.

  • if there 7 days in a week y not say them all

  • not helpful!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • she isnt helpful -__-

  • hey i love you forever and allway

  • she kinda reminds of rebecca black

  • My sis is deaf so I'm thinking ahead and learning sign language. Good for me!!!

  • I love Signing Time, but I wish she did the whole song. My 23 month old granddaughter only knows three days of the week!

  • Do you have noninstructional songs for sale, perhaps on ITunes? I love your voice.

  • This is great to keep you busy over the summer, i don't want to forget the signs for asl2

  • @foxatheart111 wow! you would notice that! ahaha

  • wow she is REALLY good at singing

  • can they said the days of the week lil. more slow the do it to fast the 7 days thanks

  • going to fast saying the days of the weeks

  • If this is for the deaf, then why are they singing? That is a serious question.

  • @C0LL1N It teaches the hearing how to sign.

  • @C0LL1N It's not only for the hearing - The "host" is Leah and Alex's mom - she's a musician but Leah was born deaf. She gave up music for her daughter believing it would never be a part of her life - but later she used the expressiveness of music to communicate and connect - you don't need to hear music to see the feelings and meanings it brings when people move to it.

For kids, moving to music, even if you can't hear it, is as impulsive as laughing

  • this should feature Rebecca Black

  • Love Signing Time! I taught my child to sign from birth using these videos in addition with my knowledge of ASL (american sign language) from having attended NTID (National Technical Institute for the Deaf). My son and I are "hearing". I have alot of Deaf & HOH (hard-off-hearing) friends, and they are always impressed with his receptive & expressive signing skills!

  • does she get a lot of papercuts?

  • @joshuak47 i think that's to highlight her fingers for kids (they look at colorful things)

  • @Bardoftoday It helps kids differentiate which fingers are in certain positions.

  • I love this show!! I always wanted to learn sign language and I'm doing it now with my nephews. I'm really happy with this tv show thank you!

  • She teaches the kids/viewer the sign repeatedly, and then they do the song to practice what they learn, which is what we're watching here.

    It's a good show. I learn a lot.

  • @crocetti1984 they canceld it right?

  • @julcmz200 Probably. I haven't seen it on TV in forever. That's a shame. It was really educational.

  • @crocetti1984 haha yea

  • But she's actually signing in sentences so that deaf people can enjoy watching too!

  • Yey!!! LOL!
