@xChuckNorrisKickx You start and end your user name (chuck norris? isn't he like 85 yrs old?) with an X and you have the nerve to refer to anything else as GAYNESS? Really, cupcake? Stick to your "mixed martial arts"--that's REAL, right? Just like Professional RASSLIN' ---LOL@U girl! Chin Na is taught to elite military & police units worldwide, as is hapkido. Get yer hand outta yer panties and READ!
@xChuckNorrisKickx Uh, except you're both wrong, since Tim Cartmell is a BJJ black belt under Cleber Luciano and a two time Panamerican champion. He just also happens to have 11 years of experience in taiji, xingyi and baguazhang, and he hasn't refuted any of it, because the truth is, they complement each other better than you'd think. Cartmell obviously knows what the fuck he is doing, even if the 3 demos in this 26 second clip look a little stilted, but demos normally do
@TheHobophobic I could give a fuck if he studies BJJ; that does not at all detract from the obvious bullshit of "chin na". It is interesting that he felt he needed BJJ though and could not simply rely on his superman oriental chinese bullshit. Wonder why? He does this to sell it to people for profit; you'll never actually see him using it in real life because he knows it's crap. All we ever see are "demos"; that's it.
@xChuckNorrisKickx He didn't just study BJJ, he's a goddamn BJJ champion in one of the biggest BJJ tournaments in the world, one that Gracies compete in, and he won. Twice. And how is jujitsu or muay thai any less "oriental"; a racist ass term by the way. But that's beside the point. No one's claiming that it makes you an unbeatable superman, or at least I'm not, that's retarded.
@xChuckNorrisKickx And BJJ guys use chin na all the time. Chin na isn't actually a martial art in and of itself, it's just the Chinese term for joint locks and "pressure points", that just literally means anywhere it hurts to put pressure, like the celiac plexus or your eyeballs. Virtually every CMA has a chin na set. And I've seen Cartmell use taiji in real life. He does it a lot. You just wouldn't notice, because you probably don't know what taiji in practice looks like
@xChuckNorrisKickx Taiji has striking, but it's primarily stand up grappling. watch?v=eIc5NIfrnJs
It's really just simply the study of the fundamentals of using correct posture and alignment, and using natural forces like leverage and gravity to push someone off their balance while you keep yours. Taiji has sweeps and locks too, but it is lacking ground game. It's not an invincible, complete martial art, but such a thing doesn't really exist. That's why you cross train
@xChuckNorrisKickx Sure, you'll learn a lot of the same things in judo or catch wrestling. And wrestling has more ground defense and judo has newaza even though most schools don't emphasize it much. Though I'm personally of the opinion that taiji does a better job of teaching the fundamentals and subtleties of stand up grappling. I've seen taiji go toe to toe with judoka, and hold their own and even win. CMA aren't useless. And they're not invincible either.

So it's basically hapkido gayness, which we all know would never work in real life.
