@anestakos83 True, but thats a golden retriever. I have a golden retriever and a Labrador retriever and they're very similar. Except, the lab has short hair and then golden retriever has long hair, like the dog here.
I'm really liking it. The colors/white balance and focusing don't always seem to be as constant as the D40, but images are much very sharp. I have gotten many compliments on the photos and the camera in general. Everyone loves the red body :)
@EscobarFilms I'm no expert either but here is what I know. They are very similar, both very fast lenses with shallow depth of field (1.4 has more shallow DoF) for portrait shots and smooth bokeh. The f1.4 is a bit faster, meaning it lets more light to the sensor. But both are fast enough to use in very low-light situations with no flash. From what I have heard, the f1.7 may be a bit sharper when its wide open. But either would be a great choice though for sure.
@flipknoc 1.7.. its exelent i love the kx.. i have a question.. what batteries do you use? do you record a lot of video? the sanyo eneloops are good batteries for video?
@EscobarFilms I just got the camera this week and still using the batteries that came with it. Been shooting mostly pics and haven't really shot too many videos, so I can't really tell you, but I heard that the Eneloops are the best.
As for the 1.7, I should be getting mine next week, can't wait! Check out Pentaxforums that site is very informative and is what made me decide to get the K-x.
Very happy so far. Offers features and performance of cameras twice the price. Low-light is exceptional and I'm loving the video capabilities. It's also very light weight and compact.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA WHEN HE FALLS IN THE POOL!!! XD
