LOVE the 6 PM arrangement of the News 4 Theme back then, "We Work Well Together." If I recall, Doreen was well received in the D.C. area when she came on the air. Jim, Doreen, Bob, and George were a great news/weather/sports team for close to 20 years; the longest news team collaboration in the D.C. area to date, I think.
Obviously, Rayful was brilliant and could have taken those same skills and used them constructively as CEO of a company of some sort, benefitting himself and others as well; but he misused his ability which ultimately hurt him rather than helped him, not to mention the trail of violence and heartache to families and individuals. The Bible says as a man sows, that's how he will reap, and that applies to both good and bad. You reap more than you sow and also in a later season than you sow it.

How did Susan Kidd gain so much weight?

Our metabolism (fat burn) slows down as we age, causing us to gain weight; could be what happened in her case, as with many of us.

This was when Dave Marash left the 6 & 11 pm newscasts & was replaced by Doreen Gentzler, who had also worked in Cleveland.
