Hi, I'm studying this piece at the moment, can you be specific about the inaccuracies in this performance?, I don't want to repeat a mistake that I've heard on the internet!, thanks, Jim
@jamantcoo don't get too caught up in what people say is "wrong". its music and we can be creative. it's cool to listen to peoples opinions about performances, but don't exclude ur own voice.
@royallighting7 Hi, thanks for your reply. - my comment to 'saxman2802' was an ironic one, designed to invite them to be specific about what they disagreed with - ideally providing the bar numbers or time markings, but they chose not to respond unfortunately . I think Delangle is an excellent saxophonist and that his version of this tune is true to the written music and very well interpreted
@jamantcoo i agree he is a good player. although i'm not always of fan of his tone or interpretations of things, he has has own musical voice. i can tell Delangle is Delangle and no one elsewhen I hear it and he has great technique on saxophone.
Are you kidding?! I feel sorry for the poor pianist who is constantly having to adapt to stay in time. I'm very surprised by this recording, there are so many rhythmic inaccuracies that the style and life of the piece is completely lost.
@saxman2802 I don't know the piece, but I know Delangle's technique. If he does something different, I would think he did it purposely. I enjoyed the recording.
