Unfortunately, the song no longer quite works, as Washington station has since been renamed to Downtown Crossing. But it's quite fun nonetheless, and now always what I think of whenever I'm visiting Boston.

Many years ago I heard a rumor of the existence of this song, but I despaired of ever hearing it, so eventually I wrote my own. See which you like better:

H is for our alma mater Harvard,

C for Central Square and City Hall,

K for Kendall, half a mile from nowhere*,

C for Charles St. Station, standing tall,

P for Park St. -- change for Cleveland Circle,

W for Washington -- you see: etc.

*I.e., MIT.
