  • Mainstream media seems to be deceptive at every turn....if you watch the video at :53 (and ignore what the reporter is saying) you will see that Ebay auction was actually for four items. That comes to a price of just a little more than $38.25 per item. Still a lot, but a far cry from what was actually reported.

A good lesson to remember each time you watch the news.

  • Yay! They are safe!~ You hear that Pinkie? I get to keep you!! :)

  • yay!!!!!!

  • thank the lord there safe!

  • They wouldn't still sell Zhu Zhu pets if they had toxic stuff in them, let alone ship them to New Zealand! WHAT?? $10?? OVER HERE THEY CAN GET UP TO $30!!!! Thats only in stores! BTW Yesterday I was searching for a Zhu Zhu Pet and I went through 2 without any, just their house's and clothes!!! Finally I found them, Now i have Peachy!!

  • why the fuck would you pay 150 bucks for a damn toy when you can buy a real hamster for way less than that?

  • i agree! i reeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaallllllllllllllyyyyyyyy want one or 2!

  • Ugh why are you people even bothering fighting about this?.. DONT LIKE THEM DONT BUY THEM PERIOD. And dont go around annoying people with stupid comments. ^^

  • My mom got me a zhu zhu petfor Christmas for 10 dollars and there was only 10 left! Boy am I lucky! I still am not sure if i think they are safe yet if they arnt im selling mine on ebay starting at 5 dollars. I already sold 3 brown 5 white and 9 yellow. my grandma works at a place where they sell zhu zhu pets so she buys them and gives them to my mom to sell. when i told her i wanted one that is when my grandma got caught and couldnt give me any more! horrible right!!!! :D

  • 150? man thats cheap i would buy one of these for 300!

  • How the hell are they hard to find? I just went to Toyrus and they were stocked! They're shitty toys! They're only $10 because kids are going to demand habitats for them, which will probably end up costing hundreds of dollars unknowingly over time. If I want one, I'll get one, go to petco an pick up a hamster ball, and watch the little toy run around until the battery runs out. That's all I need out of a fake pet.

  • omfg sooo cute i want one *buys right away*!!!!!!!

  • lol morons yeh they are dangerous! i mean i mean NO no they arent , they are just fine please continue to buy them lord dont stop buying them because they pose a risk to your beloved child! ........fucking morons

  • more like a random company (goodguide) is looking for attention so they say the hottest toy of xmas 09 is toxic.

its a toy, they dont cost much, even at inflated prices online. we've seen much worse fads before (furby? tickle me elmo).

  • yo furby was sick i still have mine.

  • Good I will get one and make a child lick this things fur for a few hours a day

  • Yeah, that is if your child picks up a hammer and smashes it (or numerous other ways... use your imagination) and chokes on the gears and any other various internals.

  • Notice they said limits and not absence of the metal. Thats like say the soup is OK, the rat feces in it does not exceed goverment limits.

  • lol

  • the metal isn't dangerous unless you expose someone to high levels (or unrefined) amounts of the metal.

theres dangerous chemicals and compounds found in almost everything around us. everything has a limit between being useful and becoming dangerous... xD

  • Im aware of that but what I am pointing out is there should be an emphasis in eliminating all dangerous substances as opposed to setting "tolerable" limits. Because despite the fact a product may have a small amount deangerous compounds in it daily exposure to enough different products can cause harm.

  • 150 dollars to get one!?!

that says for four of the hamsters!

thats not even 40 bucks each! well worth a mechanical little buddy!

  • Zhu Zhu means suckers suckers!!
