What did you do about the square of metal that is on the door of the case? Im currently converting a old g4 case to put a matx motherboard inside and I think thats the only problem I have come up against.
@thefilmmakerpro I used that metal plate to mount the new motherboard. I bent off the standoffs and then drilled holes for the new motherboard mounts. If you don't use it, the rear I/O port will sit lower. It also helps in grounding the motherboard as well.
@NoeticExpressions Ok, thanks. I'm still a little worried that there are bits on the back of the motherboard touching it, surely they will short out? I can't fathom how to take it off either! I have seen others who have got it off though! Is it something to do with cooling? It says foxconn on it.
