I still have to chuckle when I see this video and see your old CFL bulb flicker to life when you start the door. Do you still have this bulb in the door opener, or did it fall victim to the vibrations of the opener?
I can't say for sure with what I saw. Look at the motor itself. Is there a single wire, either white or black, coming out of the back, possibly near a set of small switches?
If it's not on the opener, is there a box mounted on or near the opener, same type of wire coming from it, and connected by at least 2 wires to the opener itself?
If that wire is there, I need to know number of switches or at least the model and frequency.
I should have something around here that will work it. Let me see what I can fish up for that. After all, what's the point of the opener if you still have to get out of the car to open the door?
It can use something like a Stanley 1050, or a black DigiCode remote. There are other universal options out there, just depends on how much you wanna spend and if you'd rather have the original brand of remote. If worse comes to worst, I have some Multi-Code (owned by the same company) that I can tune to the right frequency. Call it $5+Shipping.
Hey Andrew, do you still have that same fluorescent bulb in your opener?
