  • Hey Andrew, do you still have that same fluorescent bulb in your opener?

  • the chan can be tightrn

  • Vxcxzxxc. CNN b

  • I still have to chuckle when I see this video and see your old CFL bulb flicker to life when you start the door. Do you still have this bulb in the door opener, or did it fall victim to the vibrations of the opener?

  • @TheGarageDoorGeek hahaha i enjoy this video too, i would like to see an update? what would u say Matt?

  • Where is the new house located?

  • I have a remote like that. It is a Stanley garage door opener.

  • it's fast like a traction elevator

  • Its a chain

  • the belt sags 2 much

  • lol wen he opened it the lights flashed

  • lol i herd skid mark at the end of it

  • Stanley ugh not a fan of that brand.

  • the chain sags down too much!.lol.

  • LOL what was that squeak at the end that startled me?

  • nice man....u should tight up the chain a bit so it won't slap the roof of ur garage.....nice vid

  • I can't say for sure with what I saw. Look at the motor itself. Is there a single wire, either white or black, coming out of the back, possibly near a set of small switches?

If it's not on the opener, is there a box mounted on or near the opener, same type of wire coming from it, and connected by at least 2 wires to the opener itself?

If that wire is there, I need to know number of switches or at least the model and frequency.

  • no frequency listed but there are 10 dip switches. it is a 1800.51 model 1/3 HP not 3/4 like i listed below.

  • Just stopping by again. I was wondering if you ever found a remote for your opener.

  • No i did not yet..

  • I should have something around here that will work it. Let me see what I can fish up for that. After all, what's the point of the opener if you still have to get out of the car to open the door?

  • Hey, I found the remote, finally. You still want it?

  • Yes if you have it available. It sucks having to run into the house to open the door..

  • Okay. PM me your address and I'll get it out to you.

  • why did u move

  • 2 reasons. 1. tired of renting

    2. closer to work and Roanoke.

  • Nice. I like it. :)

  • It can use something like a Stanley 1050, or a black DigiCode remote. There are other universal options out there, just depends on how much you wanna spend and if you'd rather have the original brand of remote. If worse comes to worst, I have some Multi-Code (owned by the same company) that I can tune to the right frequency. Call it $5+Shipping.

  • Nice fix! It sounds really quiet!

Your opener seems pretty old. Which remote do you have?

  • Yep! it only cost 15$ I NEED a remote. do you know which one i need?? i do know it is a stanley standard 3/4 hp opener..
