  • God given rights? Yeah only to white males with property...

  • Bush caused all of this shit, not Obama!!! It will take another four years to even get close to unscrewing what he did!!!

  • Global warming hoax??

  • Rick Santorum is a moron

  • Interesting how the Puritans wanted to escape religious persecution, and yet gave religious persecution when they moved over here -- if you didn't go to church, you were either dragged from your home to attend, or were banished from the area which you lived. And a god-given right to sign the Indian Removal Act is just unspeakable horror in and of itself. Religious freedom? I think not.

  • I love God-given rice too Santorum.

  • christianity has been transformed into something other than the bible teaches. This garbage isn't helping.

  • very good answer by Newt on attacks against Christianity in society.

  • Ron Paul for Literacy.

  • romney's words are so empty, they lack substance, just salesman rambling

  • "The government has to protect rights that can't be taken away" - well done Rick Santorum, just said the least logically sound sentence I might have ever heard.

Why protect something that can't be taken away because they are inalienable? Pointless protecting something that cannot be removed or taken from you.

    Dickhead.

  • @Projectionist101

I think Santorium just likes the sound of his own voice, which strokes his over inflated ego.

  • The American young grads raising the intelligence ceiling for the conditioned Ron Paul 2012 and beyond

  • "Ron Paul makes a real good point" -Mitt Romney

  • Ron Paul is the only intelligent one in the group

  • Ooh, the "secular elite" and the "academic news media". Those dastardly people who persecute the poor Christians.

    Fuck theocracy. Ron Paul 2012

  • all terrible answers except for paul.

Santorum's was especially bad. Of course rights come from the state you stupid fuck, not your damn sky fairy.

  • I like Ron Paul. I think that the dismantling the IRS and other top -heavy Federal agencies is extremely attractive, but c'mon, think out of the box.

To transfer all that power to each individual state would, among other things, lead each state to go with the highest bidder (corporations..etc...) the corruption would be a nightmare.

I was in Paul's camp, but not now... really none of these monkey's have a clue...Gangrich putting a space station on the moon ...what an absolute clown...

  • 99.9% of comments here are for Ron Paul.

    Ron Paul wins.

  • @taxirock90 0.01% of GOP voters use that new-fangled YouTubes Intrawebs device all the young whippersnappers use.

  • I am sure glad I don't live in a dark negativism filled world, as the vast majority of people posting here. I almost wish the internet did not exist. Apparently there are no future thinking people here. Just depressing voices from a hole.

  • Ron should have said he'd win because even most democrats don't like Obama and he's the only republican any democrat would vote for.

  • Where was Ron Paul's opportunity to explain why he could beat Obama? O ya, that is too easy of a question for him!

  • This is like the third debate that Santorum has used his closing statement to attack Romney and Gingrich when he knows they can't respond. Kind of a d-bag move if you ask me.

  • newt and god have not been on speaking terms for decades now...

  • Romney's face at 3:57

  • Mitt Romney is a D Bag. Oh, and so are Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich.

  • INALIENABLE RIGHTS !~ Just not for gays....just not for Muslims ....just not for anyone who dares criticize or stand in the way of the bigoted right wing swing Evangelistic nuts have taken Christianity and this country. If there is a war on Christianity its by the evangelist who have turned it into a bitter nasty haters group and little else.

ps .Newt answer is just his typical feed the hate by projection. Its the media's fault for criticizing and reporting Christian Evangelistic hate ...lol

  • "Judeo christian ethics" There are no judeo christian ethics. That's like saying "Satan-God" ethics. Christian ethics and Jewish ethics are diametrically opposed.

  • Ron Paul was the only one to give a straight answer, no bullshit, no run around. when he was interrupted by applause, he quietly waited for it to settle and then proceeded to finish. he seems to be the only sincere candidate.

  • both santorum and romney used the phrase "unalienable (sic) rights." Whoops!

  • Good night for Rommey, Gewt for owned, Santorum and Paul sounded like a dumb ass.

  • @Kardiatheon What are you serious....Ron Paul clearly states that religion and politics are separate(something that is quite clear in the Constitution). Please explain to me why he sound like a dumb ass? How fucking retarded are you? People like you are the reason this country is in a shitty spot. To much bullshit religious people in office.

  • @Kardiatheon You are joking right? Romney contradicted himself between this debate and the last one. He said that he would ensure that the INALIENABLE rights like freedom would be enforced not by force but by trade...ect. Yet last debate he said he would have signed the NDAA just as it is. This destroys freedom, the right to know what charges are brought against you, right to a lawyer, right to a fair trial, and right to a fair sentance. LOL indefinate detention violates freedom!

  • @Kardiatheon Also Ron Paul had the largest applause and even all of the other candidates supported what he said. If you are greatly supported by the audience and by your competition then its obvious who had a good night and who sounded like dumb asses. Think about it

  • God given rights?! So why did god not give the same rights to say let's say people living in Iran?! What an idiot!

  • @MrNightLifeLover The God gived the same rights to people living in Iran, the people of Iran is the ones that don't live according to God.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrNightLifeLover God gave everyone the same rights, but the people in power have the choice to either enforce them or take them away.

  • "No other country in the world has God given rights". How about Iranian theocracy, Mr Santorum? Check mate.

  • We have rice based in god given rice :)

  • War against Christianity? Mr. Gingrich, there's no war against Christianity. Christians account for around 85% of the US population. Biblical ideas are being taught in schools as if they're fact. Christian symbols are on display in countless public places. What you perceive as a "war against Christianity is, in reality, a plea from the non-Christian minorities in America to be treated as equal.

But I think you're well aware of this. You're just pandering to the people, you slimeball.

  • Why are you Americans even considering voting for any of these idiots?

  • @bmayotte Many Americans are idiots, people like to see emulations of themselves hold power.

  • @bmayotte we're not, dont worry

  • All 3 zionist puppet freaks are bought by "New york money people"

    RON PAUL 2012!

  • All I hear is "god-god-god-god-god-blah-blah-god-blah-god-god-god".

  • Santorum thinks global warming is a hoax? I know he just says that to his idiotic base for votes and because global warming is not stated in his crutch (the bible) so it can't possibly be true. But what a dumb sob that should be decked! If he didn't spend so much time on his knee pads in front Benjamin Netanyahu, he would know that 97% of climate experts agree humans are causing global warming.

  • Santorum beliefs in "faith AND reason". I didn't think that was possible.

  • santorum has a shit face

  • I am not sure where some of you learned American history. America was founded primarily by Christians. At the time of the constitutional convention, most Americans were fined if they skipped church. Even desists like Jefferson agreed with many Christian ideas.

  • @ethanswenson15

It's called revisionist history, many of these people commenting are teens, early 20's. I feel very sorry for them, they have been indoctrinated.

  • @ethanswenson15

So how exactly do you explain this?

Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law.

-Thomas Jefferson, letter to Dr. Thomas Cooper, February 10, 1814

  • @ethanswenson15 that does not mean in the very least that they intended the governement to be a theocracy

  • Our law is based on Humanism and Enlightenment principles, the complete opposite of "Judeo-Christian values".

  • @SGC17 In the Bible is writing that we are equal and that God gives us freedom, so the Judeo-Christian values is what the american laws is based on.

  • Newt bringing up faithfulness, i couldn't stop laughing

  • Fucking Americans. That applause at 3:20 would not have happened in almost all European countries.

  • @Wallace1231

In Europe the people would applaud if someone said the same about Islam!

  • Paul gave the most sane answer of the four in regards to religion and the Oval Office.

  • YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO PRACTICE A FAITH. YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO FORCE IT ON OTHER PEOPLE.

  • This is, frankly, embarrassing in modern America. Religion has no place in politics. End of discussion.

  • Santorum leaving for the bathroom?

  • Let's be like Sweden

  • Religion shouldn't fall into politricks

  • @deoriginalish what bugs me is, except for Ron Paul, who doesn't use his faith as a political ploy, I'm sure Newts not even a real christian, I'm pretty sure Mitt's gods comes in the format of $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, $500 and of coarse $10,000, and Santorum I'm not sure, but I don't like the guy, someting rings false, he seems good on the outside but i feel like he's hollow like a Kinder egg.

  • @deoriginalish

Sure it should, everybody's "religion" or faith plays a part in their political views, whether it be atheists supporting homosexuality, etc or Christians supporting Israel, nobody can claim it's not a factor.

  • @deoriginalish why not. its just another institution to control.

  • @deoriginalish I respect your opinion, but just wanted to share with you what President George Washington thought. He wrote that our government should promote religion because only a religious and moral people were capable of self-governing in a democratic republic.

  • @timmyers84 i agree that only moral people but religion has nothing to do with morals, im know many athiest and as an athiest myself i know people that are just as moral someone even more moral then most people that believe in religion. Morality is obtained not by religion but by and understanding of how to interact with society. you wouldnt just run up and spit on someone. i sure didnt learn that from a book. so i some what agree with your statement.

  • Im agnostic

  • Ok I just did some research and found in a Huffington Post article where the audience was picked by the Republican party of Florida. They designated 900 of the 1200 tickets for the debate. That means that those tickets went out to wealthy Republicans who were connected within the party. That is the reason there were so many people crying Mitt Mitt Mitt at the end. I think most of us feel that Mitt Romney is unelectable and the solution for them was to stack the audience.

  • The biggest deal under the NDAA is that it is no longer the governments need to prove you guilty but it is now yours to prove yourself innocent. That is a major concern to me. We have always viewed it as innocent until proven guilty but now we have several areas such as Sexual Harassment, Terrorist connections, and others where you must prove yourself innocent and proving a negative is hard if not impossible. We need to get back to innocent until proven guilty!

  • @MatthewBMany Actually, the NDAA does not give you a chance to prove yourself innocent - remember, indefinite detention and no representation right off the bat "Shutup, you don't get a lawyer"

  • @Zezewo that is what I wrote. We are now forced to prove ourselves innocent. The innocent until proven guilty supposition of yesteryear is gone and now it is you are guilty until proven innocent. Have you ever tried to prove a negative, it's impossible. The people accused under this law will rot in prison and there is not much to do at this time.

  • @MatthewBMany All I meant is you dont get the chance to PROVE anything - once they have you, that's it. Proving a negative is super tough...so throw in a double negative - adding impossible to impossible, you may convolute the situation ... but if you dont GET the chance to prove anything it is irrelevant. We need better options sheesh.

  • @Zezewo I agree we need much better options... We appear to be on the same page. I myself don't want to rely on the presidents decision as to whether I spend the rest of my life in a Fema camp or being tortured or killed. The current law of the land places that decision in the Presidents hands. What type of government places the lives of its people in the hands of a leader and hopes for his benevolence? I think we are having a crisis of definition where our government is concerned.

  • My question is, How were the people granted access to the debate, was it a ticket you had to purchase? Were people just allowed in, first come first served? Was it a collection of political insiders or members of the Republican leadership? Because I don't see a whole lot of Paul supporters and one corner of the room was yelling Mitt Mitt Mitt after the debate. The audience looks like it was selected, what was the criteria?

  • ROMNEY 2012

  • @allstars617 he's unelectable.

  • @iTellYouNoLie haha hes the best of the worst

  • The rights are the peoples and they were to lend them to the government in moderation... limited.. not have the government giving us rights.

  • so according to Dick Santorum it is illegal to be an atheist?

  • I would've loved to listen to Perry's answer on how would religion affect his decisions.

  • OK Nation, we are going to war with China. Don't doubt me, I asked God first. Them godless Chinese don't stand a chance!

  • Santorum: "No other nation in the world has its rights based in... God given rights, that's what makes us so special."

Me: Scratches head... "Wait isn't the entire Middle East all about 'rule according to God's law'? And isn't that why you all hate them so much?"

    Smh...confused...he is.

  • this shi is jokes

  • Everytime Santorum speaks I just get the sense that he is a complete moron...

  • Mere mortals? Newt you dumbass

  • @CRITIKCK Agreed. I bet Newt criticized Rick Perry for praying for rain during the Great Texas Drought.

  • I love how a demand for religious neutrality is always seen as "religious oppression." Nobody is lobbying for "One Nation Without God." We just want the religious bias removed; is that so much to ask? You are more than welcome to practice your witchcraft, voodoo, prayer, or rituals on your own time and in your own way. Does your all-powerful god need the government's endorsement to do his job?

  • Did anyone laugh out loud at the lady who spoke first when she paused and waited for applause?

  • Ron Paul seems to be the only one who speaks from his heart. The other three sound like car salesmen.

  • lol romney, the country was NOT found on judeo christian values

  • Santorum lied about the health mandate issue. He supported it in 94. I can't post the link here, but I'll post it on my comments on my page for anyone wanting to read it.

  • I think santorum admitted he isn't as good of a candidate as ron paul

  • @blackzodiac420 Lol I really hope that is what he was implying, rather than flat out disregarding Paul

  • @blackzodiac420 So did Gingrich actually...LOL...God Bless Ron !

  • @blackzodiac420 how so

  • Uhm did Santorum have to much of that spiritual red wine before the debate? give me a break LMFAO! Ron Paul for president!

  • We are on the pivot of freedom or government

  • ROMNEY nothing but a banker boy on the same side of Obama he is a JP Morgan and Goldman Sach boy. Check out 2008 contributions on McCain and Obama then check out Romney contributions. Romney pitch man but it what he does and who he is in bed with that matters. He is on the same team as Obama he will carry out the war with Iran and he will not repeal NDAA bill that takes away your rights! He all ready said that its all right to order the killing of American Citizen without due process.

  • 4:40 Lol, "faith" and "reason" in the same sentence.

  • no. this country was not based on christianity and no theres no religious war on it and no faith has nothing to do with laws. if you want, maybe for once. a president with a brain, vote for ron paul. if you want an absurd oppressive government, vote for the 3 dickheads next to ron.

  • global warming HOAX??

    scientists disagree with you santorum...

  • wtf is Santorum talking about

hasn't he heard of Celestial Emperors and Demigod Kings?

seriously? America is the ONLY one that says their laws come from the divine!?!?!?

  • I was kindof expecting newt to start saying "Shun the non-believers. Ssssshhhhuuuuunnnnnnnaah" >.>

  • YouTube 911GATE.

  • wow at 2:30 ,what gingrich says is crazy talk

  • Santorum and Gingrich talk about God, Faith, and Christianity and at the same time want wars that kill innocent children in other parts of the world.

    HYPOCRITES !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Romney's justification for why he's the one and how he'll do it was roughly equivalent to 'I'm very, very rich. I can buy this election and defeat Obama (and perhaps the american people to boot). Cringe worthy.

I think Ron Paul landed punches. All the other candidates agreed on things with him, and rebutted not a single point of his.

One honest man, and a triumvirate of flabby american empire.

  • @nvonliph I disagree. His position was more "I'm a businessman" rather than "I'm rich." And who knows? Maybe having someone who's successful financially would benefit our semi-depression country. Either way, I still need to decide who to vote for.

  • 5:03 running to the bathroom?

  • i like how they all agree with whatever ron says cuz they know hes right, and they always criticize each other never Dr.Paul, Santorum - I'm better than the previous two speakers...LLLLOOOLLLL

  • Applies!

  • It is statisticaly true that people that are Really outgoing are more likley to be serial killer which means to me that these people that are outstanding speakers might be on the crazy side telling us that they want to promote freedom around the world and then TAKE AWAY OUR FREEDOMS IN AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....drive me nuts i wish that people would see ron paul might not have a shiny exterior but that not what its all about The saying dont judge a book by its cover

  • 5:08 where did Santorum go?

  • Romney has a new debate coach, Gingrich agrees with Ron Paul over and over, Santorum says that his oath is to the Bible and Ron Paul says his oath is to the American people and their prosperity and well-being.

    I pick Paul

  • Polls:

    Gingrich 37,

    Romney 28,

    Santorum 18,

    Paul 12,

  • @caid231 Troll somewhere else.

    Paul 36.....romney....30......gingrich & santorum 18.

All percentages rounded out to the nearest whole number up.

  • @TrickShot1100 As I will laugh at you when Ron Paul is fourth again in Tuesday

  • 4:00 rice xD

  • Mitt Romney represents the selfish capitalists who threw America under the bus for their own personal greed, and Newt Gingrich personifies the corrupt former politician who uses his influence in congress to lobby his former colleagues to water down the law, allowing the Romney’s of the world to ply their trade.

  • Earlier in the debate they say there is not enough Americans interested in math and science, and "we" need to change that. Then to appease to the religious people at the end, it is science that is attacking religion. Lol go fuckin figure!

  • I lul'd when Santorum said Rice instead of Rights.

  • Drudge report poll standings:

    RON PAUL 36%

    romney 30%

    gingrich18%

    santorum 18%

Go to drudge report poll and make your mark.

    Thanks MOX !!

  • @TrickShot1100 Fake the real polls says:

    Gingrich 37,

    Romney 28,

    Santorum 18,

    Paul 12,

  • So pretty much what all these candidates are saying is we should choose a leader such as RON PAUL!!!!!!

  • With the exception of Ron Paul, the corporate fucks who run the Republican Party don’t care any more about the middle class, than they do women, blacks, gays, or anyone else they want you to hate.

Gingrich/Romney/Santorum are simply manipulating anger, prejudices, and uninformed minds in order to keep the poor and middle class divided. That way, we’re so busy fighting one another that we fail to recognize that they’re cutting all of our throats.

  • @americanbunker Couldn't AGREE with you more!!

  • Santorum essentially states that Christianity in America has "changed the world"... Makes me sick... And Christians in America bitch about the Muslims in the middle east wanting to change everyone to Muslim? Christians and Muslims are two peas in a pod! Your religion is your own business, so do NOT bring it to work with you! Bring a QUALITY CHARACTER and INTEGRITY with you!! RON PAUL is the ONLY intelligent Christian up there!!

  • ..."All men created equal..." except of course for the Palestinians and the chosen ones.

  • Comment removed

  • Our country was NOT based upon Christianity!! Romney needs to do more reading than just a line!! Dr. Paul was RIGHT... Your religious beliefs are NOT to be taken into your job! YOUR CHARACTER has EVERYTHING to do with your job...

  • these are barely debates... its just an answer, a response... blah.. doesnt say shit!

paul deserves a real debate! he barely gets to go beyond the surface.

  • ......Wow aside From Ron Paul who gave the good answer on religion, these other three crackpots will be making decisions based on a imaginary, war mongering, blood thirsty deity that more and more people are waking up to believe isn't factual. Sweet, we are all fucked.

  • When NEwts speaking about "G'od",

    is he speaking in "third-person"?

  • Mormonism isn't considered a part of Christianity. lol

  • We as mere mortals cannot decide our own fates. We must tap into a divine power that we literally have no idea what that would be if there even is one. Thanks Newt!! I feel even more comfortable with you making decisions. You are corrupt AND delusional. I see why you have surged in the polls.

  • DRUDGE REPORT POLL UP. GO VOTE FOR RON PAUL!

  • @seattletruther link?

  • @seattletruther RON PAUL ALL THE WAY I DO ADMIRE THE DUDE. LETS HELP HIM OVERCOME ADVERSITY.

  • Comment removed

  • Romney for Idiocracy

  • Huntsman was right, the republicans are turning into the anti science party. How did Santorum and Paul get so far?

  • @ 4:58 santorum had to pee?

  • As an atheist when I heard that question about religion I was like oh here we go. Then Ron Paul Spoke and I was like *Sigh*.. My hero.

  • @supersonicswag2011 I'll pray for you here in a minute, as I'm about to go to sleep. RON PAUL 2012!

  • @gregalabama Thanks! Please tell God I want a unicorn for my birthday.

  • @supersonicswag2011 Here you go! :) You ask and you shall receive. watch?v=5ub-yYAou-Y

  • @gregalabama Good Point! Dumbass.

  • @supersonicswag2011 why you gotta call me names?

  • @gregalabama Because your link was irrelevant. Didn't tell me anything. You failed to sway my opinion. Typical dumbass reply. You're either a troll or a dumbass. understand?

  • @supersonicswag2011 me too..this is all insanity to me..so much for a separation of church and state..so stupid,"god given" rights my ass..no such thing cause there is no god,yet here we are debating in 2012 to give gays rights among other things..what about their god given rights? lol
