  • I still have a 24t tucked away in the shed. I don't use it anymore but I can't part with it, it's like an old friend. Gave years of service and would be good for a whole bunch more.

  • Is that dry crop or is it irrigated?

  • @SuperJohndeere4020 dry crop. when it rains it gets water, when its dont it dont get water lol.

  • My driving job on the farm was with an old MF 175 and a John Deere 14T back in the early eighties. Tough old balers. We finally did wear the thing out though and i sold it for scrap last year.

  • @terrellfarms1 this one has replaceable wearstrips everywhere in the plunger, so when it wears out im gonna rebuild it :D

  • @6030diesel Yea they are replaceable but alot of the other parts for the baler are getting scarce if not impossible to find at a dealer and most of what is out in the junk yards are just that. JUNK. They were great balers though.

  • @terrellfarms1 I have spare parts for the 24T and most John Deere Balers. You can visit my channel ARMANDOORTEGAM here.

  • Those old 24T's were a great baler.

  • @herald2000 i wont doubt you on that, this one has been a real champ!

  • got the same baler only i run it behind a 3020 diesel and put up couple thousand bales each year with out problems

  • Amazing that the knotter works so well. Did you lube & grease it at all before this vid?

  • @Virginiasensomia yea, greased the gears, and the grease nipples back there and called it good.

  • this has bailed a lot of hay.About 30 years ago my neighbor bought a john deere b for $175 and a square bailer like this for $1100.They bailed hay for $1275.

  • @brian93ist this baler we got for free :D.

  • nice i use a 24t to put up hay every year . why are you usein such a big tractor for that baler we use a case 430 for ours and our feilds are steeper than hell

  • @FutureFarmer1206 this is our smallest tractor. hopefully this summer ill be bringing our 4010 down here to fix up and we'll hay with it.
