I prefer MW3 over MW2. Both of their Campaigns are confusing and super hard to follow. MW3 has better multiplayer, its a lot fairer. MW2 had better maps though.

MW2, i didnt enjoy it. It felt weird to play, there was a constant hum of a harrier and always explosions in the background, and it overall had a bad look. Ive had lots of fun with MW3 though

Don't mess with the formula? Right. They need to improve character customization. Perhaps a level editor, a more intricate clan system. New and improved sound effects. More animations for running and jumping through the levels. Perhaps a cover system, for leaning or peeking around corners. Blurred vision when getting shot at. Melee and execution kills that animate your player. This is all off the top of my head, and they can't do this because... they need to add more post processing fx?
Halo, Assassin's Creed. Two more great examples of milking a formula to death. The only thing that needs to happen is for consumers to stop buying this garbage. I think the difference really lies in your console of choice. Most PS3 gamers have a higher standard that is perpetually rising. If Activision made a game with Killzone 3 or Uncharted 3 quality I would be the first in line to buy it. However, if Naughty Dog or Guerrilla Games tried to milk their game engines, I would pass on all of them
5 games, 1 engine. That should be enough for any experienced gamer to pass on this series until Activision and their massive teams of developers IMPROVE something. Look at Naughty Dog. These Call of Duty games have ruined the video game industry. All of these games are very similar COD, Homefront, Battlefield, Medal of Honor....Think of the game industry before COD got mega-popular....Halo 3 was big...Assassins Creed was introduced, Mass Effect and many other unique fun titles. People say Halo sucks compared to COD? It takes 3 years to make a Halo and theyre different. I can't be the only one who misses Halo 3 and its custom games and crazy zombie types. @SteelersXbox Battlefield was nothing like CoD before the Bad Company series was introduced. It was a great PC exclusive title ruined by CoD and consoles.
@SteelersXbox Black Ops campaign was enjoyable and well written. It has zombies, and a multiplayer with many more features than any other Halo game I've played.
Call of Duty needs to step up it's game, yes, but it's a great series none the less. It's only on Youtube I see so much hate for this series.

Ok.. Ive played Call of Duty since the beginning and Ive always been excited for the new one. Ive religiously bought the new one on release date. However, I was cautious and didn't jump on this one and after playing MW3 I have to say i was let down. It was basically MW2 with updated graphics. Sadly, I probably won't get MW3 and have been playing.. sorry to mention it.. a fps released by EA around the same time..
My experience of MW3 multiplayer... strike packages are basically; pick what order use Killstreaks, or whatever they're called now... new guns n maps... no new attachments, no lasers or flashlights etc etc... Proficiencies are basically Perks... all just relabelled. Survival is good well done. But beyond that, slightly disappointing Infinity Ward...
I like the feel and speed of Modern Warfare two. I also really, really enjoy the sniping in mw2. I know alot of people really dislike all the quickscoping ten year olds. I despise them to but , honestly Ive never had more fun with a COD game than I had with mw2.
if i knew the story behind cod earlier i would have waited for infinitywards mw3 before buying black ops. mw2 was the first cod i played online (i bought finaly a pc that could handle new games) and i loved it. in fact it just needed in my opinion normal servers to be awesome. thats what i was hoping in black ops. i hate that game the second i got into it. but later i started to appreciate it. none the less i rather play mw2 then buy mw3. or stick with BO.
I like Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer better (except for noobtubers); it was like a different kind of game, and graphics were better also. It was much simpler. But i love MW3's campaing, and the new Survival mode is better than the normal Spec Ops.
In my opinion, black ops was the best. Balanced perk tiers, half decent kill streaks and no death streaks. Attachments and perks weren't overpowered, which is the area MW2 let us down on. It has zombies which is 10x better than spec ops, because spec ops just seemed like the campaign of CoD 4 and MW2 put into challenges which were impossible to do. I know that Treyarch will do a better job again.

I hate when people say it's just a reskin of mw2. It really isn't. It's a shooter game, what do you expect? The most they can do is alter gameplay so it's more balanced, new weapons, maps, and campaign. It ISN'T a re-skin. I look at it in a way kinda like madden, It's a football game, you can't do much. These Call of Duty games have ruined the video game industry. All of these games are very similar COD, Homefront, Battlefield, Medal of Honor....Think of the game industry before COD got mega-popular....Halo 3 was big...Assassins Creed was introduced, Mass Effect and many other unique fun titles. People say Halo sucks compared to COD? It takes 3 years to make a Halo and theyre different. I can't be the only one who misses Halo 3 and its custom games and crazy zombie types. Come on people COD=SUK

@SteelersXbox I disagree but why would you miss Halo 3? I still play multiplayer on that game all the time! Also although I love Halo, and I have to say that Zombies IS better than Firefight, it's just not as fun and addicting as Zombies. I love Halo, CoD, AC, and MoH, but I HATE BF and I just can't stand ME, but anyway, that's just my opinion. I don't think Halo or COD sucks, that's just me though. BTW you spelled 'SUCK' wrong :) Anyway hopefully see you on Halo 3, Reach, or Anniversary online!

@SteelersXbox Black Ops campaign was enjoyable and well written. It has zombies, and a multiplayer with many more features than any other Halo game I've played.
Call of Duty needs to step up it's game, yes, but it's a great series none the less. It's only on Youtube I see so much hate for this series.

Well here's an idea: If you can't change it, stop making it. Modern Warfare has been taken as far it can go and all they are doing now is creating yearly updates that you have to pay for. It's time to diversify and create a new franchise for to recharge COD.

to be honest I'll answer SeaNanners' question nothing to be honest i don't want anything new in mw3 like they did in reach i don't want them to fuck up the franchise (whoops too late) they need to fix awful spawning system they need to have new engine improved graphics they need to fix hit detection and they need to remove all this overepowered stuff that ruined the game just look at battlefield IW and take notes okay? i did switch to bf enjoy having awful game....

Ok.. Ive played Call of Duty since the beginning and Ive always been excited for the new one. Ive religiously bought the new one on release date. However, I was cautious and didn't jump on this one and after playing MW3 I have to say i was let down. It was basically MW2 with updated graphics. Sadly, I probably won't get MW3 and have been playing.. sorry to mention it.. a fps released by EA around the same time..

My experience of MW3 multiplayer... strike packages are basically; pick what order use Killstreaks, or whatever they're called now... new guns n maps... no new attachments, no lasers or flashlights etc etc... Proficiencies are basically Perks... all just relabelled. Survival is good well done. But beyond that, slightly disappointing Infinity Ward...

I like the feel and speed of Modern Warfare two. I also really, really enjoy the sniping in mw2. I know alot of people really dislike all the quickscoping ten year olds. I despise them to but , honestly Ive never had more fun with a COD game than I had with mw2.

Campaing 1-0 I didnt like the Mw 3 campaing at all :/ dont know why but i did like alot more the Mw 2
Multiplayer 0-1 This is a though one the maps in mw2 are better but mw3 got alot better perks,guns etc.
Spec ops 0-1 a sure win for Mw3
In game Music 1-0 the music in mw2 is alot better than mw3 sad but true :/
My opinion is that Mw2 is still better but thats my opinion!

if i knew the story behind cod earlier i would have waited for infinitywards mw3 before buying black ops. mw2 was the first cod i played online (i bought finaly a pc that could handle new games) and i loved it. in fact it just needed in my opinion normal servers to be awesome. thats what i was hoping in black ops. i hate that game the second i got into it. but later i started to appreciate it. none the less i rather play mw2 then buy mw3. or stick with BO.

I like Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer better (except for noobtubers); it was like a different kind of game, and graphics were better also. It was much simpler. But i love MW3's campaing, and the new Survival mode is better than the normal Spec Ops.

In my opinion, black ops was the best. Balanced perk tiers, half decent kill streaks and no death streaks. Attachments and perks weren't overpowered, which is the area MW2 let us down on. It has zombies which is 10x better than spec ops, because spec ops just seemed like the campaign of CoD 4 and MW2 put into challenges which were impossible to do. I know that Treyarch will do a better job again.

@sebastian66677 well, what i love about CoD 4 is that it has decent killstreaks. You said the guns are overpowered, well don't you think that Juggernaut and Commando are overpowered? I hate cage matches where it takes me like 2 more hits to kill them! How is that realistic if they aren't wearing proper armour? CoD 4 and MW2 just has noob tubers everywhere and that is extremely annoying.

@sebastian66677 yeah, Black Ops was mine and my freinds first CoD, and he camped. he is shit at it! I stay in a certain area. If you have PS3 then i can prove that for you. If you hate campers then why do you think MW2 is the best? Skidrow and Karachi have campers everywhere. And besides, 3 kills is more realistic than been knifed by a guy from 10 feet away.

I hate when people say it's just a reskin of mw2. It really isn't. It's a shooter game, what do you expect? The most they can do is alter gameplay so it's more balanced, new weapons, maps, and campaign. It ISN'T a re-skin. I look at it in a way kinda like madden, It's a football game, you can't do much. But every year they improve the game. Same thing with mw3, be happy. It IS about the money, but stop complaining. Like you guys could make a better game.

@AJohnDiazProduction why dont you try actually playing it before shouting your opinion all over youtube. they have balanced out the multi by 100% in both fairness, gameplay and weapons. yes it has the same guns but so what??? they are good weapons and they are the weapons that the real-life army factions in the game use so whaqt are they supposed to do? just make up guns? it is a vast improvement on mw2 so stop hating when you dont know what youre talking about.
