i'm for ryanair. mark there can't explain the advantages of ryanair. ryanair tell you the charges. i'm lookin at 1euro flights right now from london(stanstead)(i'm from wiclklow in ireland, trying to relate touk people) madrid for €7.99.amazing value, but wait, THE GOVERNMENT ISCHARCHING 28.27 and what are the doing? scabbing!!! 3.5 times the flight charge! how can people say ryanair are a ripoff.
@psymancoolman but what about ryanairs €1.50 toilet charge,€3 can of coke €2.50 chocolate bar €5 mandatory online check in charge €30 handling fees then €7.99 fare so that comes up to 44.99 on ryanairs behalf the government are charging you less than the flight and its actually £10 pound which is about €11.76 so actually ryanair are the rip offs plus ryanair are the worst in providing consumer rights in the aviation industry and actually easy jet has £10 flights no catch
@allboeing no true chocolate is 1 euro handeling fee is 5 not 30! and you can get a mastercard prepaid and pay no charge and the online check in fee in not always charged all incorect
@Aviationnation10 well im just saying what ive being told by Ryan Air,Irish Aviation Authority and Dublin Airport Authority.
DUB-LPL is a 45 min flight yesterday it was delayed from 15:50 to 20:50.Where was the plane for 5 hours? it could have being a mechanical failure 2-3 hours to fix it then 2 hours to get the plane washed down to the gate re-fuel it board the plane get clearance and take off
@Aviationnation10 not really on that same day only 3 ryanair flights were 'on-time' in departures from DUB which is ryanairs hub yet they claim 95% to be on time.Thats a very bad case of misleading advertising.I do give out about other airlines when I see fit.Continental airlines are bad in terms of long-haul service and ba are bad because they have strikes all the time but ba pilots have exceptional skills that make up for cabin crew failures.
@Aviationnation10 really because i study flight times alot and so far 95% have being delayed and ive looked at tons of reviews and weeks of flight charts look im not going to argue on youtube because im not getting involved with somebody who is clearly trying to be a big man behind there computer, don't even bother replying because I won't respond.
@allboeing you really think your it you think your right and europes biggest airline is wrong people only put up negative reviews on ryanair not many posotive in my opinion
@Aviationnation10 eh ye well your opinion isn't fact mate i put out facts and I look at reviews and i do give some positives they give tax to the irish economy but look I told you I don't deal with your type who think your some big guy cause you can hide behind your computer, grow the fuck up and do some work!rather than sit cyberbullying all day.
@allboeing my opinion isnt fact? your the one who thinks he know more about ryanairs records than you my type you just cant admit to being wrong and how am i cyber bulyin
It does depend, as you rightly say Mark, on one's definition of 'ripping off'. If you don't like that phrase would 'obtaining money by deception' be more suitable? Or perhaps 'misleading advertising' would be more appropriate? These are common tactics for this awful company. As for the checking in fee....you think it is reasonable that you do their work for them and then you pay for the privilege? Hmmm.....
They clearly aren't obtaining money by deception. It's only by deception if you're unaware exactly what you're paying for. They give you a full detailed list of exactly what you're paying for before you pay. I don't think it's reasonable to pay for check in, no. But it's not a rip off. And often with this fee included Ryanair is still cheaper. You might claim that their advertising is misleading, but their so-called "tactics" have been well publicised over the years by many people.
Hmm....if it is not a tactic Mark, then why not simply tell people up front what the total cost of the ticket is likely to be? Why advertise one price when they know that the final cost bears little or no comparison? That is, in plain English, deceptive. Vis a vis the Iberia flight, I chose days at random starting nine days from today and coming back a week later. I made no attempt to filter the data in order to be fair. Hmm, and Girona is not, and never will be, Barcelona!
Best news I have heard in ages! If we can rid this country of villains such as this so much the better. Hopefully Ryanair will leave the UK altogether and rip off people from somewhere else.
Oh Mark, Mark....where shall I start? How about getting people to book in for them, thus saving them time and money, and then charging them for the privilege, not once but for each leg of the journey and for each person. Or maybe the credit card charge.....again we have just the one transaction but somehow Ryanair feel justified in charging you for every person for every leg of the journey. This is indeed what is known colloquial as 'ripping off'.
Ripping off and extra charges are completely different. Ripping off implies extortionate prices. The cost of an online check in is £5. Hardly extortionate is it? It is well known that the credit card fee can be avoided by using visa electron. If you use this, then it is free. You can get a visa electron account free of charge on the internet and it takes just minutes to set up. So the "rip off" you're talking about clearly amounts to just the online check in charge of £5
Just following up on that Mark, I just checked a booking on Ryanair which they misleading advertise as Barcelona (actually Girona, which is a considerable distance away). If I take a couple of bags and pay the credit card fee it comes to 182.69. I can book the same dates with Iberia (a real airline....) for 149.40. This is why I say that Ryanair are deliberately deceptive. They make it hard to compare but when you do you often find that they are not the cheapest (maybe the tackiest tho!).
No doubt this booking for today or tomorrow? Either way I just did a quick comparison myself. I don't know what airport you're flying from. I did from Dublin (where I live) for tomorrow (next available date). Ryanair with one bag (which is what I'd use) incl taxes, check in and CC: €253.36. Iberia: €283. Sooo I don't see anything extortinate there. And yes, that was the first and only comparison I did.I didnt search for a cheaper one.Ryanair has brought real competition to the airline industry
Excellent idea! Remove taxes for Ryanair so that they can charge their customers insane fees for crazy things such as... paying them. As far as I am concerned, Ryanair does not exist. Such an unethical airline...
the aircraft footage is unacceptable. its from about 20 years ago

"Rip off"? Ryanair is possibly the cheapest airline in the UK. I don't see how exactly they're ripping off people.
