the Exp train has stop at Neyyattinkara.. Usually, the passenger train comes before the express and waits for it.. Neyyattinkara functions as a crossing station since its a single lane from Trivandrum to Kanyakumari.. In the video, we see the express train coming.. actually, it stops and then start again.. Before the express train starts, the passenger train starts and gain speed.. ..

Actually both are express trains. I am in the Bangalore-Kanyakumari Exp.

i m wondering how WDM-2 can haul an 18 coach express since they are not very powerful-only 2600hp when compared to wdm-3a/b etc

Is the loco modified by any sort??i mean increase in power or something

18 coaches is pretty much the 'breaking point' for a WDM2. Longer trains are typically hauled by twin WDM2s, or a WDM2C, or a WDP4.
