whodafuck said this was lee perry? as far as i know this is ADRIAN SHERWOOD UK dubmaestro... he made tha track anyway.... maybe that's ole scratch on the vocals at the end
Bob Marley was not a one dimensional man. Lee Perry and Bob Marley came from the same place and made beautiful music together. Chris Blackwell aka "The Vampire" of Island Records was only interested in promoting Bob Marley. Until then Bob and Lee worked together regularly. The Marley/Perry dub tracks is the best music that I have. Most of us would not of even heard of Lee if it wasn't for Bob. One drop, one love, one sound. "The knife that stick the sheep will stick the goat..."
mate... scratch was bob first producer and you must know he produced as well for the clash and eric clapton.. so i guess he is not only known for bob...
marley has different styles people would rather just buy a single best of cd or get high and listen to the same handfull of songs over and over there is a lot of diversity in his music
Agree, thing is when you comment Marley they all freak out, once they bought best of reggae cd,so making them guru's on reggae music subjects, never mind these people.
If Bob was a 'one dimensional' person.....why is he known and practically recognized as a prophet throughout the whole world...Lee Scratch is not...Furthermore, why do you need to express your appreciation of one artist by comparing and putting down another? Odd.
