This is just a question for anyone really, I've been told this sport is illegal in the UK, I was just wondering if that's true, if not does anyone know any clubs you can join that teach you how to do properly, I would also like to do skydiving, but I already know who to do that with, thanks.

@TSBowker BASE is actually in a legal gray area for many places. I've heard people say that it's illegal in the UK before. Jumping off buildings without receiving explicit permission is a good way to get arrested. Best to check with some local jumpers to really get the truth. I know in the US it's illegal except for certain places (Perrine, MOAB, etc.), although the charges are BULLSHIT. But in places like Sweden (specifically Lauterbrunnen) they don't have a problem with jumpers.

@TSBowker If you want to learn basejumping, you should first have some experience with skydiving. Some people say you need 200 skydives before you are skilled enough to survive a basejump. There are no real basejump clubs as far as i m concerned. If you start skydiving and join a skydivingclub, you will probably get to know some basejumpers. At my skydiveclub there are about 5 - 10. If you are skilled enough you could ask one of them to teach you basejumping, or take you on a basejump.
