  • Why is this video only 28 seconds long now?

  • Did Brando say " I found God ?" , I can't believe he said so , was he an atheist or something.

  • LOVE <3

  • To everyone yapping about how better Marlon Brando is than Depp, and how Depp is an elitist and name drops him for fame and such: Marlon Brando knew the guy personally, and cared about him. It must have been for a reason. They knew each other better than you guys ever will.

Brando never did it for any of you.

He was the one who advised Depp on buying an island on all the technical details. He tried everything, called sources to pull Depp out of jail when he was arrested in 1999.

  • The Method Acting! Stanislavski!

  • bring back the full length clip!!!

  • @trulyinfemous did you see this..this site sucks

  • What happened to the length of this clip? There was a very good portion of Johnny describing a prank he did on Marlon and Marlon's reaction.

  • both great actors, but completely different acting styles.

  • Before Brando, actors acted, after Brando they behaved and reacted. Actors started being in the moment. Moment to moment. The use of the object. Nobody did it the way he did. Streetcar,On the Waterfront changed acting. I still think he is the best Actor I have ever seen. He gave every actor who came after him their freedom.

  • God what a cornball johnny depp is

  • Yall got it all wrong. For honesty you are all yapping?

  • @dieguetti that fool who is syaing that he is always riding on people's coattails, when he may, like others who have talked about Brando, just might actually be a mere fan of his, and everything he's put out isn't trash, yeah if you mean that disney stuff yeah, but the Libertine and Public Enemies, that was decent but the other parts of the movie themselves could have been better (he showed up, hardly anyone else did)

  • Another thing, when has Depp said that acting was a higher calling? If anything, he's non-chalant about it, and refuses to be the whole "I'm tortued and won't star and anything mainstream sh*t like so many of his fans wanted him to keep doing. That's just as much of a cliche as someone who's a known shill. THe sad part this was supposed to be a tribute of Marlon and I thought he was just giving his peace about him and of course this gives folks the chance to turn this into something else SMH

  • @8j8j8ae He is riding on Brando's coat tails. Depp always name drops famous classical actor's. It's his MO. Come on, look at the trash Depp has been putting out lately.

  • @landgabriel yeah, can't be just be a mere fan, now could it lol? The only time he name drops is when he is asked or talks aobut his favorites like EVERYONE else does haha and you didn't tell me sh*t already so oh well on that. I told you that Depp has said the same thing in an interview (about acting "being a sort of prostitution") a few years ago actaully several interviews. It's nothing special.

  • Brando was a staunch anti-authoritarian who would bow to no-one. Depp is a compliant twit who will kowtow to the whims of Hollywood and pop culture. Depp went on the cover of people as the worlds sexiest man. Brando challenged the sexuality of the world by letting Playboy print a photo of him with his lips wrapped around a dildo. Brando had gall.

  • wow

  • johnny Depp is a pathetic elitist who is no where near the honesty of Brando.

  • @landgabriel

"Elitist", why, because he makes Disney movies (well maybe not but it seems uncool to do so) he have a John Wayne type real "man's man" personality or waves flags all day and kiss America's a@@ or something? Boy, things people think they know but don't, Marlon was friends with him and that was something that even Marlon said himself was a few far in between the MANY people that he was acquainted with throughout his life. I guess Marlon would have disagreed. Just my 2@ as well.

  • @8j8j8ae Well, I suspect Depp makes movies not for the art of it, but for his status. Rather than reading a script and going 'yeah this character is me, this script is great', he probably goes 'Jim Jarmusch is making this film, I want to do it'. He makes movies with directors because it boosts his status in Hollywood and the world.

  • @landgabriel And what's wrong with that? Hell Marlon did so sometimes aas well, even if he meant well (activism wise) Well wait, I guess yes if he isn't true to his art then I agree but who's to say that he is or isn't for that matter. You could ask the same question about Marlon, no matter how he may have come across (given some of his later choices & including even wanting to go on QVC to pimp a product , which I would have just absolutely been too through at the sight of seeing him lmao!)

  • @8j8j8ae Brando made not attempts to hide the fact that he acted for money. Not for status, not for peer affirmation. MONEY. Depp thinks it's some sort of higher calling. Don't get me wrong. Depps work in Ed Wood, Fear and Loathing, and some other films is great. But Depp piggy backs off the talent of others like Jarmusch, Brando, Hunter Thompson, Terry Gilliam, Al Pacino. Depp uses his fame to buy more fame. At least Brando took a stab at directing. Brando even directed other peoples films.

  • @universatile Are you serious, Depp took a stab at directing too, though it may have been ill advised. As for the dildo pic, that's not having gall, if he had it he should ve had gall from the get go and said kiss my a@@ to Hollywood and not be apart of the machine in which Brando was at first for a while. Wait Sean Connery did the same, so I guess he's a twit, or is that directed as just younger generations and not everyone's favorite pasttime actors like so many older people are biased to?

  • @8j8j8ae I told you already, Brando made it clear (like Kinski did) that he was a whore for Hollywood money. Depp would never say such a thing on camera.

  • @landgabriel i think its because that actors like Depp and Pacino are too proud of themselves as artists and they are right. But also think that Brando was a very honest person.Never afraid to tell the real opinion.

  • "I found god!"

    Excellent! :-)

  • 3:18-3:28

a fart machine has never been made to sound so artistic and beautiful, lol!!

  • great actors!!

  • wow

he really is very similar to brando

    like father and son

    haha

  • Seria fantastico si le pones subtitulos, pasarias de un buen aporte a un gran aporte.

  • I think he sounds EXACTLY like Brando at 3:30 when he says: "very good John"

  • haha he looked like him too, he like became brando for a split second.

  • @ejioannou yes! hes great with impressions and accents

  • @ejioannou how does it when this video is only 28 secs long -_-

  • That was an amazing video...thanks

  • Wow. If you look closely you can see Johnny Depp's eyes slightly moving up and down on the scene where he is reading the class. You can tell he was reading it. :D

  • what documentary is this from?

  • i saw it on the biography channel

  • marlon was the god just as johnny says but he himself is also a true legend! a kind of brando of our generation

  • i look at the picture of the end and i said "i found god".

  • Brando IS God its true

  • on the waterfront is one of the best films i've ever seen that the godfather part 1 and 2 and james cagney in white heat are my favorites

  • at 5:14 what a nice warm smile he has,i think he's inviting us in. A legend for sure.

  • 4:25 lol no one wants to listen to John Travolta

  • hahahahaha

  • hahaha

  • That was too funny :)

  • ending picture reminds me lot of Brandon Flowers

  • johnny is so hot

  • omg I just about died when I saw the very last picture of Marlon. Sooo cuute!

  • Brando is God

  • i love how this person that edited the video just said the hell with everyones comments about brando its all about johnny depp lmao

  • i found God, lmao

  • You should put up the part where Ed Bagley Jr. does a DEAD ON Brando impression! It's hilarious.

  • Where can I find the full documentary?? I´m sure I have watched the other parts on youtube before

  • That last picture reminded me a lot of a younger Mickey Rourke.

  • he was definitely a hunk during his early days, no doubt about that!

  • Interviewer: "How would you describe yourself in say thirty seconds?"

    Brando: "Thirty seconds...? I wouldn't, I wouldn't do it, on a bet."

  • Oh wow, great clip. I love it when Johnny does an impression of Brando saying 'very good John.' Their friendship was so sweet. Johnny's comments about Brando being God made me feel a bit sad. I hope he's found peace.

  • The impression was spot-on!

But as for Johnny referring to Brando as "God", I'm sure he's meaning in the acting sense.

  • I'm a dude and i agree. lol

  • "Very good John" :D wow i can't stop watching that part!!! Marlon is the bomb and they were very good friends!Respect for these actor even just as human beings everyone should have values such as theirs!

  • so funny! "i found God" lol. He was such an intelligent man but he also had a fantastic sense of humor. the greatest actor who ever lived. not only a great actor, but a great human being.

  • LOL! A fart machine. I also love fart humor.

    I love Johnny. <3

  • marlon's pure.

  • okay, that's hilarious!

  • hey STELLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • very good john! hahaha

  • yeah, haha "very good John" is the coolest comment on this video:)

  • he sounded exactly like marlon!!!

  • Yes, if they were to make a biography on Marlon, Johnny gets the spot.

  • that's how good Marlon is.. He makes even Johnny Depp get nervous and forget his lines.

  • *sigh*

that last picture just made me DROOL!!!

he looks soo innocently cute-hot and just fucking gorgeous!!!! Not like i wasnt salivating already ;P

  • You know there are many men like that roaming around the world today. Just open your eyes once in a while and you might see one^^

  • Great vid. Thanks...love Johnny.

  • i have to admit that marlon was really HOT for a guy from the 1950s..OMG...i first saw him in this movie for class...he WAS gorgeous...but wat happen to him...he gained a lot of weight since then...

    btw..i LOVE johnny so SEXY!!

  • i love his marlon impression

  • I love his laughs :]

  • Lol, Johnny looks alot better in the movie than he does during the interview.

  • what did he say?

    I wouldt I wouldt???

  • I think there are totally different actors, and that makes it beautifull.

  • I don't think Depp is anywhere near the same caliber as Brando. Not to say he isn't a good actor of course.

  • Loved this! :-) thank you. I can't wait for this Documentary to come out on DVD.

  • Chévere. Saludos - Perú.
