  • i have the nearly the same setup, ocz vertex le. 2x50 Gb in raid 0 config, but its transfer rates changin from 140MB/sec to 300 MB/sec. Why the difference?

    I used the same test software, hd tune 2.55.

  • PHONE!

  • Its a RAID mode

  • is this in ACHI mode or IDE?

  • Why In HD Tune it Raid Volume 130 GB if there are two disks 60GB?

    60+60= 120 xD

  • I think SSD is too pricey, only really worth it for laptops, i get 420MB/s with 4xSamsung 500GB Drives in Raid 0

  • fast... .can you show the boot time of this?

  • Sick!

  • guyz..srry for the noobish question, but what exactly is RAID?

  • @kolofagos Wikipedia mate.

  • @kolofagos redundant array of independent disks

    raid 0- 2 discs, data is written to half of each drive, so u get "double" the speed, combined space of 2 drives

    raid1 - 2 discs, data is written to both the discs, slower speed, disc size of smallest drive

  • vtec just kicked in yo

  • Craaaaazzzzzyyyyy Fast ! !

    I ran a bench on my "traditional type' HDD - what a huge difference in comparison

    My HDD WD5000AAKS

    Min = 36.7 MB\sec

    Max= 78.1 MB\sec

    Aver=63.3 MB\sec

    AccTime=13.0 ms

    Burst=116.1 MB\sec

    CPU -1.0%

  • Wow..That is some speed you got there..3x-4x faster than my Raid 0 setup, I'm still considering 2x 30gb Solid Series/ Patriot PS100 or just buy another 2 cheap HDD for a raid 4+0..this vid just changed my mind lol :D

  • what cpu u got? and whats the cpu usage when it running at 400MB/s?

    cos i know the onboard raid consume cpu resources and i am thinking should i get a raid controller to avoid that

  • @Y2Kstephen the CPU i use its a I7 965 extrim

  • Wow thats fast but what MB are you using im running a core i7 w/ASUS P6T Deluxe I'm using onboard Raid 0 and my burst is 3,300-4,000 MB/s with 2 30Gb OCZ Vertex Drives

  • I got 5000MB/s on burst with the same drives just different motherboard. GA-P55A-UD4P

  • Ohhh wow! Thats l33t 1.6GB/s burst?? WTF IS THAT?!! LOL!!

    Wow, i gotta get a 2nd SSD now lol. i get 240MB/s max wit my single 32gig.

    I thought raid 0 didn't double ur HDD space tho? So if i get 2 32GB SSD's i can get 64GB? =O that'd be swell =]

  • intel :)))

  • Amazing speed. I'm still debating whether I should get 2x30GB OCZ Ventex RAID0, or Intel X-25M 80GB.

    I don't care about space as much as raw speed.

  • that is super fast

    i have 4 generic 250gb 7200 rpm butmy max speeds are only 172mbs

    i v post my video response

  • thats insane especially just for onboard RAID this suckers are speedy lol now try to load Crysis or better yet GTA 4

  • I have two 120G OCZ vertex SSD, what raid card is compatible to setup raid 0 on vista ultimate cos my foxconn motherboards raid feature dosesnt work. (compatibility issues) Thanks

  • could you make a vid of any current game loading ?

    btw awesome vid upgrading to this set up next month

  • am i seeing right burst rate of 1633.8?

  • woow can you show us crysis loading a level ? :P

  • good idea...

  • "Hallo" :P

    Nice bit of speed you got there :).

  • do u think its worth it to get two of these 60gb ssds in raid 0 or just one 120gb ssd?

  • 2x60gb in RAID 0, best preformace

  • Intal onboard,Matherboard ASUS P6T WS Revolution

  • What Raid-controller do you use?

  • Two OCZ Vertex SSD RAID-0 Banchmark,
