As a Panther Fan, I am going to miss Jake for one reason only. Watching him throw games away became comical and hilarious. Watcing John Foxx defend Jake was even more hilarious. Listening to Frank Garcia (former carolina Panther) defnd jake was even more commical. Hearing Brentson Buckner rip jake was great. I would watch just to see how many interceptions he would throw. Now, I know that the Panthers are going to suck this year but Jake will not be there for me to laugh at.
@Mah81 if you were a panther fan before 08 then you would know and appreciate all of the things that Jake has done for the panthers. In 07 he was having one of the best years with 8 TDs and 1INT and 624yds passing and a qb rating of 111.8, but then the tommy johns injury so i dont blame jake for anything...i blame that stupid injury
@Mah81 this is sad to see, Jake was a priceless piece of the offense for so long, and his biggest vice was his lack of confidence coming back from a usually career ending surgery. It didn't help that Moose came back too old to be viable, Smith was the only real option out there at WR. Any defense that planned against them will tell you they just double covered smith then stacked the box... end of panthers offense. I respect Jake to this day and have to hope he does well in the future.

When he was injured back in 2007 with a turn Ulnar Collateral Ligament (UCL) awaiting Tommy John surgery, the entire Carolina team fell apart. WITHOUT JAKE, THERE IS NOOO CAROLINA...12-4 last year. Jake only has bad days. He's one of the best...
I totally agree with you he just had a bad day... i was at the game when they lost to the cardinals worst $150 i ever spent (LOL)...but you know how people are one loss get rid of him but they never remember when he comes back and wins for them didnt they finish something like 12-4 last year??
yeah, we was 12-4...and regardless of that bad game, i love delhomme. And to me, he is the best QB to ever come to carolina...people shouldnt give up on him so easily. 1 superbowl...2 nfc championship games....3 playoffs. look what david carr/testerverte got us..shoulda been played matt moore though..
he also led them to their first SB which was calle d the greatest, has the record for longest TD pass in SB history and is number 4 on the SB ranking for highest passer rating, very ecstatic to hear panthers signed him for another 4 seasons, im really rooting my fav team can pull it off this year, but regardless it was a great rebound years for delhomme after surgery, give them some credit
also, jake came back early, from that surgery, i think last season he was just relearning his arm strength...but this year should be better..stronger...and i believe he has the number one rating overall (playoffs) in QB rating, asides from that last game...in which i cried, and sold my tv...and migrated to mars, so no one else could see me suffer.
