to me this song is about a guy who dies and a ghost of some sort gives him a chance to come back to life but the guy doesnt have the things he needs to get through the tasks the ghost wants him to go through so it ends up taking him a long time. anyone else have a different interpretation?

well now i can't think of any other interpretation of the song.

but i suppose perhaps there is a metaphorical road? a person is going on and the singer dude won't go. he won't fail [burn] if he stays. the idea of redemtion sticks though. i think also a strong and vague sense of depression and sadness is omitted.. but maybe it's just the video and music.
